Walter Burke Catering

After reading Yelp reviews and looking up the website of Walter Burke Catering, I decided to go with them for the catering service for my daughter's wedding last Sat. (Oct. 24, 2020). Not having ever tasted their food, I was afraid a slight bit of how it would turn out, if it would feed the 29 enough, and if it would be ready on time. All fears were easily allayed. The food fed everyone to the brim with some to spare. It was super delicious, elegant, and got wonderful compliments by guests. It was delivered on time, and we were given help in setting up--thanks to the amazing Tia! It was ready on time, and the everyone truly raved. We chose 4 appetizers (the pumpkin strudel, spicy crab cakes with saffron aioli, lamb kefta on sweet potato crisp with harissa coulis, and a habanero-marinated bacon-wrapped shrimp). All were outstanding. The salad was citrus, pomegranate, and pistachio with an amazing dressing. Artisan bread with compound butter. Rosemary encrusted prime rib was one entree with 2 sauces: Spanish sherry jus and a wild mushroom green chili jus. We had the pine nut-encrusted chicken with roasted red pepper sauce and stuffed with NM goat cheese. The bride and groom picked out the menu, but I was leery about selecting chicken because it's usually been dry at most all wedding receptions I've attended. To my surprise, this chicken was NOT dry, and it was super tender and moist. The prime rib was also super tender all the way through, abundant, and incredibly tasty. The salad was superb as was the grilled vegetables, and fingerling potatoes. I heard many compliments on the food that evening and was so happy about that. Everyone ate up, and we had much to pack away; this shows the generosity in the portions! Can't say enough about this company. They had great reviews in Yelp, and I now will add to that. Please consider them for your catering needs. You will NOT be disappointed. They were always kind and gracious on the phone with me, and I felt like they cared for me and our reception. I wish I would have gotten more pictures, but I was so busy. I think our photographer may have gotten some. Don't know.

We used WBC for our wedding in Santa Fe this past weekend and they were nothing short of incredible. Actually, the entire planning process has been seamless. We worked with Angela Reece, and she is incredible responsive with emails, and she was great and patient with me through all of my changes! In fact, she helped immensely when I started to panic with prices, and she helped me out so much aweigh explaining and helping to craft a day that would fit our budget and still be amazing. And then on the wedding day, Walter Burke was simply amazing. At the end of the night I tried to shake every servers hand I could find to thank them for how wonderful it was and how much I appreciated their positive energy, attitude, and attentiveness! Susan, one of the captains, was incredible and made sure everything was perfect!! They also worked well with my family when setting up decor. All in all, everything turned out way better than I could have ever expected, the food was AMAZING, and it was all because of WBC. I recommend them to anyone in the area, a couple of my friends were asking if they did events in Texas!! That's when you know it's good. This company is amazing and make every experience personal and intimate. I can't thank them all enough!!!

I cannot praise this company's team enough! Walter Burke provided catering services for my sister's wedding this past September at Hyde Memorial State Park in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Alexandra was our point person and she was always quick to respond our questions. We exchanged e-mails frequently for about 7 months and everytime she responded with warmth. We loved how easy it was to communicate with her and how helpful she was. Every single detailed was handled without stress. Her entire team took extra care that all ran smoothly before and after the wedding. My family was so impressed with the professionalism. Great communication, amazing flexibility, wonderful presentation, amazing cordiality and care, superb service.

Walter Burke catered our wedding in November. They were amazing. Angela worked with us through a surprise change of venue and worked with the people at both venues to come up with beautiful seating plans. She also came up with a delicious menu that included vegan, gluten free, and onion-less dishes to satisfy all the picky eaters we love. Eduardo was our captain and he was amazing. Everything ran so smooth and was delicious! They have a great team and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

FANTASTIC! Walter Burke Catering provided food for my all-company event in Santa Fe and it could not have been better. Angela was so thorough and helpful through the planning process, and the staff captain Jane on site was so friendly and mindful of my team's various allergies and dietary restrictions. The food was a huge hit- the blue corn enchiladas are a must! Smooth planning, great food, extra friendly staff- easy 5 stars!

I worked with Alexandra at Walter Burke Catering for my off premise wedding in October of 2022. I have been in the wedding industry for 10 plus years and have worked with some of the best in the business. Alexandra and her team not only met but surpassed my expectations. She was extremely helpful, responsive and wonderful to work with. The Walter Burke team not only served 140 guests in the middle of New Mexico out of a tent, but the food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Her staff was attentive and kind; we are still receiving rave reviews from our friends and family. I would highly recommend Walter Burke catering for your upcoming wedding or event.

Super pleased with this catering service! I work for a large outdoor clothing apparel brand and recently hosted an event for media at the Gerald Peters Gallery, and used WBC as our caterer.Not only was the food delicious, the staff was incredibly professional, efficient and helped ensure the evening ran smoothly.Cat specifically, was an amazing point person to work with and helped facilitate all of our needs and requests. We hired Walter Burke, over the internet, for a family reunion and they were great. Great menu, awesome food, and they were quick to set up, and take down the next morning. I would definitely recommend these folks!
