I would give a 3.5. I moved to Albuquerque about 1 month ago and so far Vista has been decent. The approval process was easy. Upon move in though...my apartment was dirty. Screws were left on the carpet and in drawers, kitchen and dining floor were black when I moped, so much dust and dirt in laundry room with a dirty towel left in the wash, dishwasher wasn't screwed in so that fell out (that was fun and unexpected), carpet was filthy, and bathroom sink was clogged and took 2 bottles of draino to fix. Other than that, safe part of the city, quiet, and short distance to grocery store. I'll update if need be in the future.

This property is horrible. The staff Jade and Jackie are horrible. They gave me incorrect information when applying for an apartment. They charge a $40 application fee and a 200.00 non refundable fee at time of application. They aren't flexible with move in dates. I don't recommend this property to anyone. Look elsewhere

Be careful. These people are trouble. They will not make any accommodation for you whatsoever and spend all their time trying to squeeze the last dollar out of you. There may be a shortage of housing, but there has got to be a company that will work with people and give them a break. First, because I am retired, they wanted all 12 months of rent up front. Do you know how hard it is to come up with that kind of scratch? Then when I needed to break the lease, I had to come up with another 1,500 - which I expected, but I had to stay in the apartment until their contract said so - no exceptions. They already had my money, what more did they want? I am sure this property is owned by some big venture capital firm in California or New York who don't give a damn about anybody. If you think your life will not change at all in the next twelve months, they may be your cup of tea.

If you like your belongings stolen in your car broken into every few months, it's a great place for you. In the 6 months that I have lived in this apartment complex. My car has been broken into three times and stolen once. The management is very unprofessional And will not help you resolve any problems. The apartments are priced very high for what you get. The gym is rusty and out dated, pool is lways closed, and the gates around the apartment to appear safe mean nothing. The only good thing about this place is Pacific Rim across the street.

We were so interested in these apartments because they look so nice and are in a good neighborhood, so we went to go see them with high hopes. Management was on break, but the sign said they'd be done by 2. It was 2:10, so we figured they would be done. I understand wanting longer lunch breaks, and had they told us to come back later or even tomorrow we would've understood and been more than happy to oblige. Instead, they looked at us like we were dumb, ignoring us, and just staring. As we left, they then proceeded to change their sign from 2 to 2:30. It was beyond unprofessional. If they could open the door to change the time, they could've opened it to say they were extending their lunch.... Literally the least they could do. Beyond disappointed. Makes you wonder how they treat their tenants.

I lived here for two years in a two bedroom two bathroom, we had nonstop maintenance issues with plumbing. The maintenance would come "fix it" but it was never actually fixed. I had multiple packages get stolen off of my front porch. The old office staff when I first moved in were the absolute best, they then hired completely new office staff, and we had many problems with them. For instance, they charge $25 per trash bag that's left in front of your door, we understood this in the lease and did not leave trash out, we had put a doorbell camera up because of all of our packages getting stolen and it was visibly seen that one of our neighbors was putting trash in front of our door. After reporting it to the office with the video, they told us the video is not enough evidence, and instead charged us $75. Some thing I've learned living here is that the office staff is very money hungry and will charge you on any little thing they can get. I've moved now into a place 1000 times better than this place ever was. And although I'm writing this review, I speak for everyone in building F that we all have the same opinion, and the office staff is talked about throughout the apartment complex community. After moving out we were charged over $400 for our carpet, there were no damages to the carpet whatsoever we made sure of that, we had hired cleaning ladies to come clean our apartment before our inspection day, and they still charged us for a dirty carpet that was Washed almost looking brand new. I find it funny that they charge us for a carpet that they rip up out of every apartment after their residents move out anyway. whether or not it's damaged. Although the area is said to be nice, my roommate got her car broken into four times while we lived there for the two years, when letting the office know about the car break-ins they responded to us that it's not their issue to deal with and instead of using the money they take from their residence to put up cameras, or some type of security they actually got rid of the physical security company that was on property when old management was in charge. Ultimately the decision is up to you if you would like to move in, but the office staff does not care about its residence and I promise there is many other places worth it over this one. KEEP LOOKING!!

I have lived at this complex for roughly 2 years. Overall, the complex is quiet. However, ever since the complex hired new office employees. It is known around the complex that they will fine over anything. Once fined, they give no remorse for the reason, even if the fine was wrongfully given. My car has been broken into 3 separate times and each time the complex gave no remorse. Instead, they actually discontinued their "Security" and wrote in the lease that if a car gets broken into, it is not their responsibility. After, every year the lease goes up. Overall, I believe the owner of this complex is money hungry. The office associates are sweethearts and you can tell that the manager isnt the nicest person and only looks out for what can get more money for the complex. ALSO, if trash is anywhere around your apartment the maintenance people will kick it to your door and take a photo to get fined for it.

To be clear these people are scammers, they do and will begin to add charges to what you think is a normal rent. Literally they charge $50 a month to throw away garbage, which is public anyways. They will ask up front for $200 to just apply to what is an aged apartment complex that has been there for decades. It's trash and the management and taking your money for what is not nice. They wanted me to pay an extra $75 a month for an agreed upon approval so DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN THERE LEASE AGREEMENT. I'm smart enough to have read reviews, talk to them, & conclude this is a scam. I now live in a beautiful studio for $600 + utilities paid. Happy hunting ;P

Hello, I've been a resident at Vista del Sol Apartments for 12 years and I am still extremely impressed with my community. I am quite comfortable, the place is very safe and quiet.I commend the Property Management Staff and Maintenance Crew that are always on the ball by always being here for their residents, as soon as I call with a maintenance issue or put in a maintenance ticket they are pronto on the job, same day or next day, no later, super pleasant and ready to fix your problem. The Office Staff are super professional and caring and friendly. They will even bring your packages that UPS or FedEx leaves at the office per your request before closing. This is very important for me since I am not always able to get my packages. They always have the residents's comfort and safety as a #1 concern. The grounds are immaculate and well kept by a weekly landscaping crew. The location is superb near restaurants, schools, shopping and medical facilities. There's always great giveaways, social functions, arts and crafts shows in summer, pool fun for the kids and even a free movie by the pool in summer, but the COVID-19 Pandemic halted these features, but will resume when things get back to normal, I'm sure.Thank You for reading my Review, Sincerely,A very comfortable and content Resident.November 2, 2020

I paid Vista Del Sol over $4,000 total for less than 2 months. Office staff was friendly but they could have given me a better deal than charge me over $4,000 for only a 6 week stay. I did inform them I would only need to rent for less than 3 months so they charged me more monthly rent on top of the $1,000 fee to 'break' the lease. The 1 bedroom apartment was old and my window had a view of the dumpster which was always full and piled with trash. Whatever they sprayed for insects didn't work and it was a constant problem the entire 6 weeks I was there. Maintenance was responsive but quality of service was not always good i.e., there was a strong sewer odor under my bathroom sink and the maintenance person put duct tape over it and I could still smell the sewer. The area was nice and convenient, parking was convenient.
