Valley Fence Company

A man came to our home for an estimate. I showed him pictures of what we wanted and did not want. The next day he sent pictures of what we didn't want. Never heard from him again.

First call to get a quote for an auto gate, said estimator will call me back. After 3 weeks I figured they didn't want the business. 4 weeks later I get a call, got excuses that they've been going through some internal issues, and they will have someone call me. No one did. I called a second time, left a message. David called another week later (he had my wrong address) I gave him what we were looking for, he said he'd stop by to take measurements. Still no response. Called a third time, and they had David call me right back, he happened to be in the area. He was "surprised" no one got back to me. David finally came out to get measurements for an automatic gate, said I'd have the info in 2-3 days. I still have nothing. Are we too small a job for you???? Pretty pathetic.

I was severely disappointed in the response I received from Valley Fence. After giving them a deposit and given a start date that was about 1 month out, when the time came to do the work, we had to endure three weeks of excuses about materials not being available, preparations not going according to schedule, and so on. They finally promised a new start date and then called that very morning to say that it didn't suit and that they would need to postpone once again. Meanwhile our neighbors, who had to be notified for each (false) start date were understandably getting very impatient. In the end, we chose to cancel the contract. They are a fairly large local company in Albuquerque and I expected far better service. It just seemed as though we, being merely a residential project, did not warrant their full attention.

These people were terrific! My old wooden gate had fallen apart and I decided to look for a chain link version. Several stores only had 36" wide gates and my gap was less than that. I went to Valley Fence and spoke with a gentleman who showed me some gates that were prepared for other customers, but they were inadequate. We went inside his office, he pecked at a few keys and handed me a sheet with a price for a custom gate that would fit my gap and all the hardware for a very reasonable price. He said it would be ready in a week and it was! I picked it up, brought it home,mounted it and it's beautiful! Lots of compliments from neighbors, too. I highly recommend Valley Fence.

Called Valley Fence to give me an estimate of fencing for my front yard. I told them what kind of fencing I wanted and said they would have to do the measurements to be accurate i got an "oh no problem, I got everything I'll be in touch with you soon" I never heard from this company again. they say on their commercials they will go out of Alburquerque for a job, but I don't think they want to. the bad part is we don't live that far away.

They came out to measure for a free estimate as promised. We were told it would take 3 days for them to prepare an estimate. It has now been 2 weeks and we still haven't received an estimate. we have called 3 different times requesting estimate and verifying email. No response. I guess 375 feet of fencing is not worth their time. Won't call them again nor will I use them.

Slow to return phone calls. Salesman/estimator wants the customer to do their job for them and seemed reluctant to come out and advise the customer. VERY unprofessional. Some businesses make money despite their best efforts not to and this one heads the list.

Bad experience with Valley Fence. The estimator took no measurements and guessed at how long the fence would be. She promised the estimate within 3 days. Two weeks later I called to see where it was. She had forgotten about it. Finally got the estimate a week later and agreed to the project. Then the estimator came back, guessed again and the price went up by about $500. The fence is ok, but the 3 gates are cheap, light weight material that will not last. At their high prices we should have had high quality gates. I would not do business with Valley Fence again.
