Great place to run your dogs in the open field! People are usually friendly and dogs well behaved. Be aware- there is HUMAN POOP everywhere, especially closest to the softball diamonds. Lots of homeless folks live in the park at night, and there's no budget for maintaining the park and they lock bathrooms unless there's a softball tournament. If your dog rolls in human poop like ours, be warned and keep on leash at all times. Also, watch where you step. People don't clean up after their dogs either.

Great place for softball games! Came here to support my cousin and they've played here a few times already. Dog park is near by. It's so cute to see all the dogs playing and chasing each other. The restrooms need to be fixed, they use portable restrooms. The actual restrooms are closed, I don't know why. They could also use a concession stand during tournaments because most people bring coolers but some other items would be nice like snow cones, hot dogs, nachos. Things like that. Other then that it's a nice place.

I finally got a chance to check this park out! It's much bigger than it looks from the street. There were large group playing soccer on one side and the whole big other half of the field was open. There is a nice size children's play area equipped with the bouncy soft ground. They have ample parking, covered picnic areas with table & benches. I'll definitely go back with my mini me!!

I spent a lot of time here. My daughter cheers fro YAFL and every weekend we spend a good 3 hours here. There are probably a 1,000 people here during games. There is a huge green space for multiple games to be going on at one time. There are food trucks and a playground. Parking is a nightmare, but with the number of people visiting, it's to be expected. Also there are port -a -potties. They are pretty gross too, however considering the number of people, it's not so bad. In a perfect wold this park would have actual restrooms and a parking garage. During games staff is constantly picking up trash cans (there are multiple trash cans strategically placed throughout the game fields), keeping the fields clean. Thank you for maintaining this park for our children.

This is a cool park. What's better is that I play kickball here in the World Adult Kickball Association or WAKA. Check it out at kickball.com. Great time, great people, and a perfect place for young adults to meet new people. Fun, fun, fun!

I had attended a softball tournament this last weekend at Bullhead Park. It was so sad to see that the city of Albuquerque has not kept up their parks. It was full of weeds, and the grass on the softball field was so tall, and when the ball was hit to the outfield, the players could not even find the ball. It was buried in the tall grass, it was embarrassing. There were teams from Texas, and from all over New Mexico, who is an embarrassment to the city who is taking care of these parks? This park was a disgrace to the city of Albuquerque.

My husband and I used to love USS Bullhead Park where dogs can play and run, or where people can come and exercise, however, this has rapidly changed, and I feel so sad about this. Twice now we have had some rather scary incidents. Just a month ago, I was walking my dog like usual and out of nowhere a dog came up to me and bit me. I thought it was just a nip at first when I saw blood at the side of my knee, but when I got home there were two deep bite marks and the area of my leg that turned blue and purple. I walked over to the dog owner who did not seem to care at all--I said to him, next time, it might be a small child! I went to the animal welfare, as well as calling 311, but the city did nothing. Some days later, we walked at the same park again, and guy ran over to us and threatened us with a gun. I am sorry to say, but Albuquerque is turning into a third world country in several ways. Police are defunded (which is lunacy in itself) and the criminals are having a ball getting away with everything. This is the last time we are ever visiting this park--the criminals and the homeless can have it. Be careful people, this is not a safe place to walk your dog or doing exercise, actually, we are exploring a nicer and a safer state to move to.
