Uptown Park Apartments

I arrived in Albuquerque about a month ago to visit my son. This was right after dealing with the death of another son to a drowning accident in Texas. I arrived at these apartments in my Dodge camper van and received nothing but harassment from the security guards beginning day one. They made up lies about me and my purpose for being there. Accused me of criminal activity along with other horrible things. I have never been involved in criminal activity. They had me shaking and in tears on more than one occasion. They approached me once armed with assault rifles, two other times they were approaching me with pistols. The security at these apartments make it a very scary place to live. If one was smart they would find accomodations someplace else.

Excellent property and exceptional management! Richard and April go out of their way to make sure everything is taken care of. They are also very friendly and will help with any questions you may have. Studio apartments are nice and clean. Very high security - locked entry doors and video cameras for protection. Love it here! This is my second time moving here and my last. Great value for the price!

These apartments have had bed bugs since 2005. Basically when the resurgence hit USA. Signed lease to find out whole place was infested. It was on news, I saw the health department make a guy throw away mattress and boxspring that were stuck together with what looked like tar? It was the guys blood from bedbugs, freaked me out. Good place to live if your an epidemiologist doing a home documentary on bedbugs

BED BUG INFESTATION! Stay away. Friend of mine had a terrible BED BUG issue at this apartment. The landlord gave minimal effort to fix it (stating that it's not a health issue and not their responsibility). They didn't even let the neighboring apartments know about the infestation!!

If you are smart you won' t rent here If you are disabled they will discriminate against you and treat you badly the assistant manager likes to talk badly about Tennant's to other Tennant's It is roach infested and the management likes to blame it all on the Tennant's & if you end up with bedbugs they will really treat you badly so Please don't rent here you will be absolutely miserable & unhappy here

this place was terrible! infested with roaches and bedbugs!! disgusting! the management will not fix anything, I advise everyone living there to file a rent abatement and keep a paper trail

I love living here. There is still a roach problem. It's gotten better with the new exterminator but it's still an ongoing problem. Nevertheless I understand how hard you are trying to work at ending the problem. It would be SO helpful if there were an option for us to pay a few extra dollars each month for someone to pick u our trash once a week. It wouldn't have to be mandatory. Just something we could opt into and pay a few dollars for each month. The office staff are great people along with the maintenance crew. Thank you everyone!

The staff is very helpful, friendly, and maintenence is always completed in a timely manner. I appreciate the security patrol at night as well.

Honestly one of the best places to live in Albuquerque. The apartments are a bit small but rent is cheap & maintenance actually cares to come fix your stuff. We do fun things like holiday decorations contests and the Landlord is actually nice. Thanks guys :)

The reviews for this place are outdated/misleading, so I wanted to give it a fair review for anyone else considering it.I've lived here more than once since 2013 (and I'm living here again for the foreseeable future) and it's only gotten better since then. These aren't platinum luxury units, but they're not dirty or falling apart like you might expect from the low rent. If you keep your unit clean, you won't have a roach infestation - sometimes it's a neighbor's issue, in which case you just have to communicate with the office to get it taken care of. They're very aware that not everyone keeps a clean home and that it's not always your fault, but someone around you. It's Albuquerque; you see more roaches when the seasons change, so they do regular sprays and will do more if you ask them to. They do yearly inspections to check smoke alarms and make sure you're not trashing the place or have anyone else living with you, and you have plenty of notice beforehand. Legally only 24 hour notice is required, but here you get more (read the newsletters that get put on your door each month, they're very helpful). And most apartments require regular inspections, this isn't anything new.As for bed bugs, I saw one years ago and not since.The staff are great people. I haven't met anyone here who I don't like. If something breaks or isn't working, it gets fixed in a matter of days, if not hours. Compared to the large apartment properties I've lived in, the staff here actually care about what's going on and that your standard of living is being met.Entrance doors are locked, and there's a new fence all around the property. The Villas apartments next door can be shady, but it doesn't spill over like it used to, and there are cameras throughout the complex to keep an eye on everything from the parking lot to the common areas/stairwells. Security is on-site, so if you need help you won't have to wait on an outside company to have someone drive over.It's incredibly quiet. It's one of my favorite things about the place. Despite being near the highway, only a slight din of traffic is noticeable. I can sit in my apartment and hear a pin drop. The most I ever hear from my neighbors are footsteps in the halls or a closing door. I do notice the person above me walking around sometimes, but it doesn't disturb me, it's just how apartment living is. The times where there have actually been problems with tenants fighting and acting up are rare, and the individuals are taken care of one way or another. The kind of behavior that flies elsewhere does not last here.If you run into financial problems, they will work with you. Be fair, honest, and communicate. If you try to evade and make up excuses then of course you'll have problems. These folks aren't eager to take anyone to court or make your life miserable, and they don't try to scam or neglect you to make extra money. Be friendly, polite, don't start shit, and you'll have a good time here.The only downside I can think of is that it isn't wheelchair accessible. It's hard to think of anything else. Sometimes Amazon packages don't get delivered on Sundays? You have to go to the parking lot to meet the driver if you order food? Mildly annoying, but nothing to cry home about.
