I've been taking Real Estate pre-licensing classes from UNM Continuing Education and, so far, I'm pretty happy with it. Their courses can be skills enhancing (for example, computer classes, healthtech or language classes), practical (like the ones I enrolled in which can count towards Real Estate Licensing exam qualification), enriching (like some fitness, hobbies, personal development classes) and helped me (who's been out of education mode for a long time) focus on learning again. Some of my classmates mentioned though that for UNM prices may be a bit higher than other institutions in NM, but UNM is probably the best institution in state and the quality is likely better than other options in state as well (I have no basis to judge their statements however). There are quite a bit of variety of classes for you to take and the costs aren't too bad either (plus, if you are a UNM employee, I think most those classes can qualify for UNM tuition remission as well). So far, I've been quite satisfied with the classes (most of which are conducted virtually due to COVID). I was hoping that there's a bit more selection for live classes instead of online courses which it's a bit hard to self-motivate myself to study though! But overall, not bad at all!

I've taken a few classes through UNN Continuing Education-Certificate in Data Analysis (comprised of 3 courses-each 1 month long) & French. The Data Analysis classes were online and I found the first 2 courses useful whereas I found the third not as valuable. I'm currently taking French & the instructor is super. She is also the instructor for French 2. Overall, I'd say that taking courses through UNM Continuing Education is worth your time and is very affordable.

The space camp from Bricks for Kids is a great program. The staff running the camp were professional, extremely nice and welcoming and good with the kids. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my grandson is 9 - almost 10 and he was in the class with 5 year olds and on up. That's too old to get as much out of the camp as we had hoped. I would definitely consider sending him next year if most of the kids were closer to his age.

Best over-50 classes (Olli) program. The Geology courses with Carol Hill are fantastic. A must for people who love intelligent discourse.

I have taken several courses at UNM CE. Most of them from the Digital Arts department. The quality of the classes is great. The professors in each one of the subjects have a ton of real life experience in their areas of expertise and are always willing to give advice on how to achieve your professional goals. The classes have the right student size and pace and offer the opportunity to ask all the questions you need answered. The facilities, equipment and software available to the students during class time are top notch. In a short number of hours, one can become knowledgeable of a subject if you put the effort and care into it. I really recommend taking classes here!

Do not take Spanish here! A total, frustrating & demoralizing waste of time! My husband and I signed up for Spanish 1, and in the first 2 classes the instructor tried to cover what I learned in one semester of German in a for-credit class! They simply do not know how to teach a language here; this is my 5th language, and I have had years of classes, and this is by far the worst. The class goes through way too much vocabulary and too many grammar points without adequate modeling or practice. In most classes, you learn in little steps--with a very limited amount of vocabulary and grammar structures that you work on a little bit at a time, with lots of activities, practice, games, and repetition, very slowly building on each piece. The UNM cont. ed class is like a tour of the language--the instructor just goes through, explaining HOW the language works, and thinks that somehow you will then magically know how to use the language. It just doesn't work that way. My husband refused to go back after being completely lost after 3 classes, and now I'm afraid I won't get him to try somewhere else. He says that he is learning way more from the free Duolingo app that he was ever going to learn here! Don't do it!
