I was here for a dear friends wedding. It was very nice and intimate. The style of the chapel speaks New Mexican. The woodwork on the ceiling beams inside is beautiful! The acoustics were fantastic! No microphones or speakers are needed. There is a nice pipe organ on the balcony. I would have loved to hear it play in there. Another nice thing about the chapel is the proximity to the duck pond.

I was recently at a wedding at UNM's lovely Alumni Chapel. It brought back memories of my own wedding 15 years ago. I love this wonderful and intimate space. I'm not sure how many people fit in the chapel, my guess is about 125, but that's just a guess. There is a beautiful Retablo at the front of the church, and it has an old world feel, with its rounded adobe walls and wonderful New Mexico flavor. You do have to be affiliated with UNM, either as a student, a faculty, or an alumni. But, boy oh boy, it's one of the best perks of being an alumni, at least it was for me when I was getting married. Since I'm never planning on getting married again, I can now only remember, smile, and enjoy other people making beautiful memories at the start of their lives together.
