Do you like murder? How about active shooters? Countless homeless people going through your garbage because the closed gate you pay for monthly won't close ever? Then Union 505 is your place to live! If I could give zero stars I would. I lived there starting May 2019 everything was fine, few issues with bugs and my dishwasher but everything was fine. Became friends with my neighbors and we looked out for each other. That came in handy when multiple cars were being broken into and mechanical Parts being stolen right out of vehicles. Shortly after on the back end of the complex a resident decided to shot at neighbors and police. All this time the gate would not work, when asked why the complex told me people keep running into it and it'll be fixed next week. Still waiting for that to happen while watching the homeless people going through the dumpsters looking through trash and falling asleep behind the dumpsters. Stilling people's information can be tiring. Fast forward to February 2021, when my neighbor was shot and killed. I was about to end my lease but I wanted out. When I asked about leaving early they told me I would have to break my lease and pay over 2400. My rent was 650 a month and I had 3 months left.. you do the math. When my other neighbor asked to be moved they agreed and offered to move her to a different building. A few days before the schedule move and after multiple calls and being dodged by the management my neighbor was informed they rented the apartment they were going to transfer her too. This place is beyond belief. I will never say one nice thing about this place and how management handles things. Especially when a person leaves. They will find ways to avoid giving you your deposit such as cleaning walls they admitted they painted and cleaning carpet when they replaced it because it's their policy when someone has lived there for 2 years. FYI the place was beyond clean except for a stain that would not come up because of the cheap lite carpeting they picked.

Yes it might be affordable. But not worth it. The fan in my bathroom doesn't work only makes noises. When I mentioned an allergy to dust growing in my bathroom ceiling and mold to see if I can break a lease even with a doctors note they said I still need to pay the $1370 which I feel like is unfair. Medical condition.

You couldn't pay me to live here again. Thieves, homeless, roaches and roof leaks, Oh-my. I was counting down the hours until move out day here. I thought this place was lovely when we toured. The facilities seemed well kept, the model apartment was slick and span. It all took a turn for the worst when we moved in. We chose a loft apartment and picked a unit in advance. When we were given the keys, it was to a different apartment, right next to the highway and across from the on-site car wash. The cars zooming by in the dead of the night wasn't the issue. It was that residents felt it was appropriate to vaccum and wash their vehicles past midnight! When we called security to handle the situation, they simple socialized when them until the people finished washing their car. My bike was stolen even though it was locked to the stairs, we caught people on our camera on two separate vacations trying to break into our apartment. Our neighbors dealt drugs out of their apartment. During the raining season our roof leaked constantly, after numerous work orders it was never fixed. Then when the snow came, our roof leaked again. Our A/C/ heater units were small and insufficient. You can hear your neighbors breathe through the walls. The roaches from your drains and bathtub will never end. I would sooner live in a tent pitched next to the rio grande then live here again. I feel it is my duty to warn you.

please do not live here! This place raises the rent every 6 months . Your not allowed to smoke in the apartment you pay for every month, you can not smoke in your car in the parking of the apartment place . and to top it off they will tow your vehicle/motorcycle with no warning or they also love to boot peoples vehicles. After handing over your check you worked for on rent , you then have to figure out how to pay to get your vehicle back so you can go back to work to pay rent again. who owns this place!!!

After Kendall left this place has gone downhill. "Gated community" if far from the truth. "Security is just a deterrent" in the words of management. The gate is always open. If you want poor management, Mold, Theft, Shootings, Busted water pipes, pigeon feces, unexpected water shut offs, cockroach roommates, and a restless night sleep, then sign a lease at Union 505! There is a reason they had to rebrand as "Union". Lived here for a year. Worst experience ever. If I could put 0 stars I would. Please take this as a warning do not sign at Sun Village.

I have no idea where to begin. I hope I have enough space. DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. I have been a tenant since May 2020, and not once have I ever missed a payment, been late, caused an issue. I'm a good tenant, and I want to preface that before I begin. My refrigerator went out 3 times. The first time, I called at 4:00 PM on a Thursday, letting them know my fridge had no power. Office stated maintenance would be there shortly. The office closed at 5, and maintenance wasn't at my home until the next morning at 10. They fixed my fridge, or so I thought, but the office said they couldn't replace my groceries because I didn't have a receipt. My groceries had gone bad because of how long it took for them to come. Two months later, this happened again. Maintenance came and replaced my fridge and the office compensated my rent $100 for the groceries I lost, once again. However I was told, in the future I would have to do a renter's claim for the groceries. Fast forward 6 months. My fridge went out again on a Saturday. They went bad because maintenance "doesn't work weekends unless it's an emergency", and when I went to file a claim with renter's insurance, I was told it was denied because the apartment told them it was a mechanical error. Because of this, my groceries aren't covered. This was in January 2022.Building 17 had an electrical issue throughout the building starting January 28th. This was a Friday, and when I got home around 4:45 from work the power was off completely. I rushed and called the office as they close at 6(usually they leave at 5:50), and was told by Natalie that I should've received a notice that power would be out in my building all weekend (me not the co-sign ever received anything) and we would be receiving compensation. I didn't speak too long because I then heard Audrina, the apartment manager outside my door talking to the other tenants in building 17. When I went out, Audrina noticed my power outage and asked if my power had been out all day. I told her I had just gotten home. She explained the issue might extend through the weekend, but that they could put us in a hotel or comp our rent $100 a night. Audrina verbally stated this to me. I then packed my groceries because without power, my fridge was out again. I went and stayed the night at my friends place under the promise I was given. I returned Saturday to find my power still out. I called for an update and was told the same thing I was the day before. In fact, Saturday afternoon, maintenance came by and even mentioned the whole building was out and personally said that we could stay in a hotel. Again, assuring me this was a universal issue and being handled. Sunday, our electricity finally was back on. This was 1/31. My rent was due next day 2/1, and when I noticed it was the full price, I called the office. I was told by Estrella my rent was being comped, but then Audrina immediately took over the call, and explained that I had an issue with my breaker, and my issue was separate than the buildings. I would not be receiving any compensation. This is an issue to me, because not only was I lied to on numerous occasions, but even if I had a separate issue in my apartment, I still didn't have power for three days. Following this, they did multiple days of work on the electricity and I was without power a total of 6 days in the month of February and now 3 days in March. I was going to wait until I cut the lease to write this review, but now my apartment is flooded because my toilet is continuously running, and has now leaked into my closet. I have given over $15,000 to this apartment complex, and the management and staff has given me nothing but more issues, false promises, and a laundry list of issues in return. I have called and emailed Greystar management and got zero response. They do not care about any issues you have here. The issues I have with this place include the ones I mention above, but leave out half of my wardrobe being stolen from laundry, and black mold growing in the closet. Since May 2020, the "gated community" they advertise has been raided by cops/swat on an alarming number of occasions, does not have a working gate, and has been the host to a couple of gunfights.I'm sure they will give a professional response about this and that but the bottom line is I have had to go to extreme lengths to keep my job, as I work at home, because my power has been out for almost a week now in total and have not once been compensated. This place is awful, and has caused so much stress in my life. I would pay double to live in the same place with better management. Even with all the issues, they will not allow me to break my lease. My final advice: STAY AWAY.

I used to live here. Had to move out due to sooooo many roaches. I mean little tiny ones all over the kitchen counter while I'm cooking !!!! They offer to spray for free on Thursdays. That should tell you something. IT DOESNT HELP! my friend moved out as well due to black mold and mice! Maintenance is awful and the model unit is nothing like what you'll get... DO NOT MOVE HERE! Pool always closed and water turned off in your home constantly! Homeless going through garbage and leaving it all in the streets ! Awful place to live!

DO NOT MOVE HERE. Yes, everybody is saying this, but LET ME TELL YOU - DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! MY EXPERIENCE HERE IS THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS, FILTHY, WITH UNRESPONSIVE MANAGEMENT, AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. Some highlights of my experience here (1 year lease): 1) At move in, my apartment was FILTHY and uncleaned. Management said "we used outside cleaners" and my apartment wasn't "double checked." I know they didn't clean because there were popcorn kernels, bobby pins, huge pieces of trash everywhere. I attached photos of the ABSOLUTE FILTH that was in my carpet. Definitely not "move in ready." I had to email the manager for over a month for a "walk through" and point out my list of 30+ items that needed repair / cleaning - these items were never fully repaired. 2) This complex has never been "gated" in my experience here. They have told me "the gate is broken, we'll fix it" but this gate has been functional for only 1 week in my entire year here. Reading old reviews from this place it seems the gate is always, always broken. In my experience this place should be reported for false advertisement for claiming this is a "gated community." 2) This complex has NOT BEEN SAFE in my experience here. My experience of being FRIGHTENED AT NIGHT, FEARFUL OF SLEEPING IN MY APARTMENT, HAVING TO CALL APD MULTIPLE NIGHTS, AND HAVING MY CAR BROKEN INTO. I was told by management the only security cameras here are on the main office - meaning they don't care about the TENANTS, just themselves. I have emailed this complex about how unsafe this place has been for me, how I am terrified to live here with 1.5 months of my lease left, and I have delivered them legal correspondence documenting all of these events and asking if I can break my lease 1.5 months early without penalty because this place is NOT safe and I (ie. legal jargon for breaking "warranty of habitability"). Any other apartment complex would DEFINITELY understand and even be FEARFUL for their TENANTS, but NOT THIS PLACE! 3) In my experience, this place does not protect its tenants, does not provide a secure place to live, and does not CARE IF YOU GET MURDERED ON THEIR PROPERTY! By the way, have you checked the news reports on this complex? There have been murders/shootings here EVERY SINGLE YEAR, FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS! The last one was just in 04/2021 (2 months ago!). That person died. 4) DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE - in my experience, people have been MURDERED and Union 505 doesn't care. In my experience, I have almost been BURGLARIZED, DOOR BEAT DOWN, and have done everything I possibly can to let union 505 know and they DO NOT CARE. In my experience, they don't care about people, they care about your money. Any response of "oh we offer a lease buyout" is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE WHEN YOUR PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND SAFETY ARE IN JEOPARDY EVERY SINGLE DAY (in my experience).Save yourself (literally, save yourself from almost being murdered and targeted like my experience) and do not move here.

The water is always off because someone's water pipe keeps busting. They should just redo the whole plumbing if someone is going to have a busted pipe every month. I've lived here for two months and already the water has been cut off twice. The parking lots are also too small and can barely fit a car or small suv and if you don't park in the lines, they tow you and boot you and you'd have to pay a $75 fee.

(REVIEW FOR MY GF) I wish I could give zero stars! My lease is almost up but this place is not worth absolutely anything. They claimed my apartment was move in ready but we basically moved into a dump. I filled up the inspection packet they gave us page to page because the area to fill in was too small. There's small batches of stains on the carpet, In certain areas there's dips on the floor and I feel like if I step on it I'll fall through to the bottom apartment, there's dust everywhere and the air filter was old and we have to buy our own. The air conditioner unit for some reason is above the shower? We had maintenance come fix it one day because it was leaking but a couple weeks later I was taking a shower and the panel along with dust and spiders fell on me while I was in the shower. Because it was Friday the office told me they couldn't come fix it til Monday because maintenance was off on the weekends. I ended up getting sick because the maintenance couldn't repair something correctly. When they did come he just put some screws into the panel and that's it. The air quality is so bad in the apartment we have to run the air conditioner all day and have the windows open with some humidifiers. They also painted over everything and I can even clean my sink without it peeling off which it already was when we moved it. We pay 813 which is a decent price but not worth it for the quality the apartment was in when we moved in. Don't move here unless you're desperate especially since the prices went up. My car was also towed twice! Even when I had all my papers up to date and re-registered my car. The gate is also still broken. It was only working for a good month or so. List of things that were broken or in bad shape during our inspection: - Stains everywhere- shutters in smaller bedroom were broken- paint peeling off in sink and the counter tops in bathroom and kitchen were chipped- old dirty air filter - broken fridge pieces inside - broken front door which we fixed ourselves- Old dirty drip pans - old small dirty stove - Old broken appliances - dirty cabinets - Hard water stains in toilet - rusty showerhead and brown cold water when we moved in - water stains in both closets Overall do not move here unless you're cool with poor quality and a dirty overpriced apartment. Only good thing was the front desk ladies and Kendall they have shown that they care and try to help but could try to help better the quality of the complex a bit more.
