Twilight Homes

To say that I am disappointed in this property and Twilight as a company is an understatement. Me and my partner were relocating from Denver to Albuquerque and were super excited to move into the new development called Estrella Del Norte in the North Valley. We were one of the first people to sign our contract back in early Jan/Feb.The property was supposed to be done in July, but things were pushed back due to COVID. I totally get that some of it was out of Twilght's control, but the way the sales rep, Joe, handled the situation was super unprofessional and not a good way to do business.Since we were still in Denver we had to rely on Joe to be fully transparent with progress and status of the project. He would constantly tell us what we wanted to hear. He would always tell us that they were going to break ground next week which would give us false hope. Next week turned into months. And he would never actually reach out to us, we would have to try and track them down for updates. All we wanted was the truth and straight answers so we could plan accordingly, such as getting a temporary rental, but the truth never happened.Fast forward to now, and we had to withdraw from the contract because it is still being built and we could not wait any longer. Twilight took our $3,000 for an upgrade and earnest money because they wouldn't mutually terminate the contract. Our realtor had been trying to get ahold of them to see if we could come to an agreement on the $3,000, but they legit would ignore his calls and not give us the time of day.What is terrible about this is that not only did they take $3,000 from us, but they now listed our unit for $15,000+ more than the price we originally locked in. So not only are they stealing our money after failing to deliver what they promised us, they are also price gouging the next person who buys the unit. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!This is just terrible business and Twilight should be ashamed. They claim that they are a local business who is here for the community, but clearly all they care about is their pockets being filled. With the way this whole situation went down, it concerns me how many corners they are cutting to get this build done. Because after all, they can't make any money until people move in...well I guess they can make money off of you like they did us.Be careful with this unethical company...

If you are looking for a home in Albuquerque I highly recommend Twilight Homes. These are beautiful well built homes with all the bells and whistles. The Joya Escondida subdivision is in a perfect location nestled right in between Old Town and downtown. The community is warm and welcoming with very helpful and accommodating agents and builders to help you design your perfect home.

Dealing with twilight homes was the most disappointing experience I had when I first started looking at purchasing a new home.From having to continually pick different lots due to their mistakes with the lot sizes, to being scammed out of my Earnest money!Dealing with Joe(managed the new subdivision/sales) was disappointing due to his lack of taking responsibipity, and 0 professionalism. trying to get a hold of the owners wasn't possible. Would never call me back, and when I would go by the office, they were always out of town. at the end of the deal when I pulled out within the parameters of our agreement, and ZERO progress to my house ever being started, they refused to return my Earnest Money!I would NEVER, EVER, Recommend this company! They said, if I wanted my earnest money to take them to court. They are HORRIBLE!

Amazing quality home. Very well insulated, beautiful design. The construction is so much cleaner than the competitors across the way, which we appreciate living in a very new community. The construction workers are friendly, they're respectful of not allowing debris to fall into our yard. I've lived in a few new communities over 60 plus years and really appreciate those things. This home is very well built. The windows are sealed tight, the appliances (included in the purchase package) are awesome!! (Samsung)Bravo to TWILIGHT and to the exemplary MARKETING TEAM!! Well done!!

Twilight homes is an excellent builder. They worked closely with us every step of the way to ensure that we were happy with the product. Our home was ready ahead of schedule, and they did a beautiful job. You get a lot for the money, and the quality is excellent.Update (3 years later). We are frustrated because we were promised that the hill beside our house would be landscaped, as well as a couple of common areas. We were painted a picture of park benches and Spanish brooms, as well as other landscaping and plants. We then found out from the HOA that Twilight Homes doesn't even own those areas. Those areas were owned by the former builder that went bankrupt. We we left with a hill of weeds next to our house. I sent several emails about it to the HOA and the owner of Twilight Homes, but got no results. The owner started hiding from me (he used to be friendly). One time he wouldn't get out of his car until I went back into my house. Even the common areas that he does own are covered in weeds. No curb appeal whatsoever!In addition, his contractors use a wire cage to hold their trash. With the near constant New Mexico winds, the trash easily blows out of the cage and all over the neighborhood. Lots of nails on the streets too, Making driving hazardous. Had enough.

Twlight Homes built our driveway with a fire hydrant in it making it very difficult to exit and enter our garage, very dangerous in deed! Truly a HUGH error building our home which we have to live with. I can see why D. R. Horton has lots of homes sold all around us and Twlight Homes does not have more than one other home build in the community and sold to date. Communications between us and Managers of Twlight Homes was very difficult and one sided, no communications from them. They may have won an Award once but would not give them it from our experiences. We made the home better with our upgrades, what they put in the house was low grade to say the least. Lisa W. was lucky to have a wired cage, we have the only other home being build here on the street litter is all over the front of the house's front yard. Lots of yelling all day from the workers to each other...not in English so do not know what they are yelling about to each other. These guys work in very hazardous conditions no supervision, work in heavy rain and thunder and lightening, could be an building violation and sure is a safety issue. We will try and post a picture on Twlight Homes Facebook page of the debris next door to us.

We love our nearly new Twilight home! The workmanship is excellent and we really appreciate the efficiency of the design. When a minor problem cropped up, Al was right on it and had everything resolved for us immediately. We could not be happier!
