The librarians here are pretty rude, the two older ones and the one with the green hair. They never want to help and are always so cold and not inviting

Amazing library!! The lay out is nice, with plenty of room to browse books. Many activities offered, check the calendar on their website. Staff are always very helpful and kind. Taking a walk through the rose garden is an added bonus...take time to stop and smell the roses! They smell lovely!

The woman at the info desk was so kind. She found the book I wanted and even got it for me. I went to check it out but my card had expired. No worries. The young man at the service desk was professional and courteous. He asked a few questions and updated my card. He even checked me out. Easy peasy. Took less than 5 minutes.

A little dated but the staff is friendly and the children's section is awesome with a whole wing dedicated to kids and a play area. My least favorite part is that the beautiful rose garden outside usually has a few people sleeping on benches which can make me feel a little uneasy.

This branch library is nice and convenient for the neighborhood. The one thing that is wonderful is the rose garden outside. When in bloom it is wonderful to sit on one of the benches and read and enjoy the fragrance of the roses.

I love all of the ABQ library and go to several events every month. This location does origami with Ms. Laura and Ms. Wendy. It's open for all ages (I'm in my 30s) and honestly, probably need more help then the kids. Paper is supplied and it's a lot of fun

This is the library of my youth. Mom would take me to the the Tony Hillerman Library (back then known as the Wyoming Library - it might have even been when it was the Prospect Park Library, but that would give away my age) for books and story time. I loved it! Now with kiddos of my own, I am very happy that it is still our library. The library is not huge, but large enough to have a great selection. And like any of the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Libraries, you can reserve a book (in any branch or online) and have it delivered to this branch. There are two study rooms and a fabulous children and teen reading area with comfy chairs and plenty of tables for research or casual reading.Beyond the books, the library hosts many interesting events, including the Who Dunnit? Mystery Book Group, a Stitching Club, a Read to the Dogs program (Seriously!) and a variety of computer classes. Another bonus of this library is that it is surrounded by the Albuquerque Rose Garden. It is worth a visit just to walk through the beautiful collection of roses. Being able to check out a book and then go read it under the large shade structure covered in climbing roses on the north side of the library is truly a treat! The Tony Hillerman Library is an Albuquerque treasure.

This is my favorite library branch. It is surrounded by the rose garden and is behind Hoffmantown Shopping Center. If you go to the front desk of all of the libraries you can check out passes for the museums that admit 4 people. The pass that I checked out for the Albuquerque Museum says the program is valid through August 31, 2017. You can check out the passes for a week. The funny thing is that when we went to the museum today, it just happened to be free day! They also have passes for the Balloon Museum, Nuclear Museum, Natural History Museum and others. It just depends on what is not checked out at the moment.I enjoy stopping by the desk in the center to talk to Gayle or any of the other friendly people. If you tell them some of the things you like to read, they always seem to have a fantastic suggestion of what you should read next. Everyone is helpful, I have just talked to Gayle enough that she already knows what books I like. When I go to a new library, I usually ask the librarians what their favorite book at the moment is.The WIFI is strongest around the back wall near the reference stack, I was told the router is located nearby. Of course you can always reserve a book and have it sent to whichever branch is closest to you, but I always have mine sent here (even though other branches are closer). There is plenty of parking and I have been coming here for about 40 years.
