Tried the fry bread and the funnel cake. Both were incredibly delicious. Awesome roadside stop with reasonable prices. Super kind & friendly service.

My husband and I found this little gem when we thought about moving to Los Lunas. We saw a "funnel cakes" sign and decided to give it a try. Best decision ever. We usually come for funnel cakes but we've tried their food once in a while. Always tasty! They have a SMALL seating area but it's cute. We grab our food and sit in the car. Depending on how many people are around it usually never takes long.

Need a hearty meal on a budget? This is your no frills spot. It's a shack, don't expect fast service. It took about 15 minutes for our meal to be made and packed. Wait for your order beeper to blip and you. Eat in your car or at the covered patio area. Be warned you will be bit by ants in the sitting area. They take cash or card as payment. Fry bread beef taco combo came with a side of fry beard! Ask for honey packets for the fry bread. The chicken inside of the enchiladas was dry. The red sauce was mild. Fry bread was great!

What a find! Took a chance based on the other excellent review of this little roadside shack and it paid off! The locals refer to this place as "The Shack". Authentic Native American/New Mexican food. Food was very fresh and super tasty! Everything is made fresh to order, so expect to enjoy a nice breezy wait for your order on the patio or under a shade tree. My husband and I shared a couple of flat bread tacos and crispy corn tacos (I could have ate a half-dozen of them). Our son had the Isleta burger which was sandwiched between two crispy pieces of fry bread. We all finished our lunch while saving room for huge crispy/chewy slabs of fry bread and honey! It's a MUST! They also serve a mean looking funnel cake, but none of us were willing to forgo the fry bread to try it. Three full bellies for less than $25! (2 fry bread tacos, two corn tacos, two orders of fries, an Isleta burger, 3 cans of soda and 3 fry breads with honey)

Okay, so I am really getting into my deep self with my latest reviews. Most have been top rated because I have visited any place I give a high rating not less than 8-10 times. I really don't like whining about a place and will not write a negative review on one instance... only repeated series of bad instances... And if I have gone back that many times... well, it is probably JUST THAT GOOD. So here we are with Timoteo's. Really, absolutely and most definitely this is a spot that will take you way back in time. I posted in another review the beauty of driving south on Isleta Boulevard (the ancient Camino Real) and into the Rio Grande valley's romantic agrarian past... Well folks, as if on cue, if you drive too fast, you will miss an excellent opportunity to actually stop, take a roadside sit, stretch your mind a bit to imagine parking your old Model T, and order some of the tastiest food anywhere!I honestly haven't gotten past the Indian Taco Burger with crisp fries. Instead of buns, the burger is more like perfectly seasoned ground beef wrapped in the crispest fry bread you are likely to find. Here is the cute part, the kitchen is SUPER mom-n-pop and housed in a portable shed with a window open to the parking area and a shaded patio with a couple of tables and chairs up front. So you order and then sit back and relax amidst acres upon acres of alfalfa fields and ranch houses. Sorry for you folks who squirm while eating al fresco and find a fly or wasp floating around you! This isn't the place for you. In fact, there really isn't a place like it anywhere in the metro area. I sometimes like to eat on the patio, or take it home to savor more deeply... But either way, I always order 2-5 fry breads to go. I mean, this is why I am so happily portly! Each is the size of a cast iron pan! Actually, all I need is a fry bread and gobs of honey and I can die a happy man.Try this place!
