I have been looking for a hair place and one that knew how to take care of my dark asian hair. Liz did wonders to my hair (color and cut) she is super friendly and really consults you with your hair to make sure you'll have what you envision and more. Definitely go to this place!

I have been going to Liz for probably 30 years. Every single haircut and every single color I have gotten has been beautiful. I've had it very long, medium length, very short, perky, professional, and sophisticated.I very often get comments on my hair and questions about where I have it done. I don't think there's any style or color that Liz can't produce for you . She listens to you and has great ideas and comes up with the perfect solution. Tip: give her free reign and you will be stunned. I am not in Albuquerque all of the time, but they do their very best to accommodate me.

Beautiful people who did a beautiful thing to help a beautiful person. I took someone in who was in need and these ladies went way above just giving them a haircut. And they did an excellent job on the cut as well. I am now telling everyone to get their hair care here.

Needed some tlc on my hair so I came in for cut and color! I had a wedding that same week so I gave them very short notice about the color I wanted done and they were extremely flexible to fit me in before the wedding! Not to mention how well my stylist, Devin, cut my hair! I was very nervous of how short hair will look on me and Devin definitely nailed it! Liz was also super helpful in making sure my highlights were perfect. Let's just say they had all hands on deck to make sure I left happy and satisfied!!! Thank you so much to the ladies at Tijeras salon!! Now to make my future appts!!

I went back in to get my ombre redone. Haylee my prior stylist had left Tijeras so I was left trying or someone new. When she was done with my hair I noticed the transition between colors did not turn out as great as my prior stylist but I didnt want to complain since the new girl was nice. When I asked her if we can fix it and blend it some more she said it would cost another $80+. I said nvm. When I got home and started parting my hair and I noticed her blending technique sucks. There were lines in my hair where you can tell where the bleach started. There were even dots of bleach in my hair and you could tell it was uneven from the back. There was no smooth transition of color at all which is the whole point of an ombre. I went back a few days later to tell her how disappointed I was but she did not have the time to fix my hair before my flight back to California. I left the owner an email about my hair and how disappointed I was and thought it was pricy to fix my hair, I got an email back saying "Tijeras has always prided itself on quality of work and customer service and have a great summer". They didn't care to understand how disappointed  I was with my hair. Not a sorry or we can fix it next time you come in town or let's work something out. They might have just emailed back and wrote "thank you for your money, we don't care if it was half a$$, have a good day". That right there tells me that their "quality of work and customer service" both (in lack of better words) SUCK! See for yourself. I will include pictures. Now I know why they constantly  get bad reviews. If your looking for a place with two faced employees pretending that they did an outstanding job with your hair and then charge you extra to fix thier mistakes, this is the place for you.

I just had my hair color and haircut and again received the best. Liz gives me excellent service and always eager to make sure I love my hair color and cut.. I walk out of there feeling really good about myself. Having a great hair color and haircut makes any outfit look great! I highly recommend Tijeras Hair Co. to anyone looking for excellent service, honest and beautiful people. I love going there. The positive and happy energy there gives anyone a lift. If I walk in feeling stressed, when I leave, I leave almost skipping knowing I have received the very best! I have seen others receiving hair services from Jacque, Haylee or Liz and everyone is so happy with the results. Jennifer also makes us feel great and is always eager to provide the best service, too.

This place is amazing!!! I have a pixie cut and I get compliments on it all of the time! I will never go anywhere else. Leslie is the best- as my best friend gets hers done here as well and also has an incredible pixie too! I will never stop going here!

I love the Tijeras family! Very talented and masters at their craft in hair :) the atmosphere is always really great and everyone is always so uplifting. Leslie is great with my curly hair as I have never had a stylist who can handle crazy curly hair. Their COVID19 protocol has been great and much appreciated. If you're looking for a safe salon with great stylists, this is the place to be!

I have super tight curly Hair and its hard to find a salon that can help me. Well I found one! I could not have been happier when I left this salon, they used Ouidad hair products on my hair and my kids hair. I can not tell you how pleased I was with my results. They were so knowledgeable about our curls and what products we needed. What surprised me even more as they were doing our hair they taught us how to maintain our curls and what products we needed. I am definitely a customer for ever. I highly recommend Tijeras Hair Salon not only because my hair but they were so nice to us they listened to all my concerns and the salon is beautiful and clean.
