Next to the Albuquerque Museum is the Tiguex Park, which is pretty large for a community park. I was here twice during my stay in Albuquerque, NM. Once late evening and once mid morning.I had time to kill so I came to this park on two separate occasions. Not that I wanted to, but I just so happened that I did twice. This community park is fairly large but smallest size. The grass is green and looks like it's been well maintained by the city of Albuquerque, or at least the local people who are assigned to maintain it. During my experience here at Tiguex Park, it was not much people here besides me walking around and 48° weather, so not much action here. Even if it was in the middle of the day or the evening, not much people are out and about, at least here during this timing of the year at early November. I basically walked thru the park and observed the motionless playground equipment that was installed here. No foot traffic but just my footsteps on a chilly fall / winter day. The grass was green. Everything seemed perfect and normal here, minus the people in the community that goes behind it. I feel that he's here being that I was on vacation. It was nice to just casually walk through and admire the park for what it is. It was nice and definitely peaceful here. I did not go on any of the play structures that the children and some adults use in this park because I may get injured and I didn't want that. And so, this is a typical community park in old town of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nothing too special about it, but it was nice and spacious for anybody and everyone to come and enjoy these outdoor spaces. The over experience here at Tiguex Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico was pretty cool, inviting, and invigorating. I managed to find a sitting area and just sit for about 20 to 30 minutes each time. I was here to enjoy the landscape that was Albuquerque, and taking the fact that I was on vacation and needed a little breather. There was not much people here at all, so I had to place all to myself. I was on the way to find lunch and came across this park. The area is beautiful and you can tell us it was maintained daily. The grass is definitely greener than most parks that I've come across so that's a good thing. There's no security here, just wide open space for the community to play. For the most part though, my experience here at Tiguex Park was good and relaxing. But that's it. It is definitely clean and very welcoming for those who like to utilize the park for play and mental health. It is definitely a good place to be if you're in Albuquerque, New Mexico . With that said, it is definitely recommended for you if you have time to spare just to check this place out. I know I did it and I am better for it.Tiguex park is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the old town District. It is across the street from the Albuquerque Museum. The address is physically at 1234 Main St. here in Albuquerque. Like all community parks around the country, there is no admission fee. Free, free free. It is awesome to have simple pleasures be free. As far as parking goes, your best bet would be to find street parking wherever you can find it. As for me, though, I ended up being at the two New Mexico museums in the area and happen to be walking through the park afterwards. I was dropped off by either a friend of mine who lives in the area or via Uber. Not sure about if Albuquerque public transportation system, if they can get you through here, but best bet is to check online to be sure. Of course, there's always Uber and enough to get you here or anywhere you want to go. For the most part though, they enjoyment of this park. In Albuquerque was invaluable and a good one. If you're ever in town, swing by here and enjoy it because it is that good. I guarantee it.5.0 stars for the over experience. Support local!A+

Tiguex Park is stunning, and the perfect place to take a stroll, especially after an evening rain like the one on Saturday night! We always take our dog pack with us when we vacation, and they loved the park as well. It's great for picnics, yoga, and just overall family fun. Recommended! 5/5

Tiguex park is a perfect park for a spring stroll or a picnic with friends. I love the proximity to old town as well as the overall amount of space available to stroll around and enjoy the park setting. The park is also conveniently located across from Explora and the natural history Museum. You'll find vendors walking around selling things like ice cream or you can even go over to one of the shops in old town and grab yourself a treat. There is a basketball court, Swing sets and more for the whole family to enjoy. The only downside is, there is currently construction on mountain, which makes getting to the park a little trickier than it should be, but that is obviously temporary .

Lovely park, spacious, with a running track and workout stations. The playground is big and has lots of activities. This seems to be a gathering area for lots of different groups and there's room for everybody. It does get loud weekend nights, so plan accordingly if you are renting a space nearby. It's right by old town and many museums, making it a great area to stay in with kids.

Tiguex Park is an AOK park to stop at whenever you visit Old Town and/or any of the museums on Museum row. It's got walkways with benches along them, a fitness trail with exercise equipment, and even a playground.Be forewarned: This park isn't a good place to find yourself after dusk during the week; it would also be a good idea to start heading home in the late afternoon on weekends. Why? Albuquerque's got a substantial homeless population. If you use good judgement and visit when it's broad daylight with lots of people around, this park can be a very enjoyable place.Stay safe!

It's a lovely day and after visiting Old Town, I found Tiguex Park and decided to take a look. Plenty of parking on the west side of the park across from Old Town parking olot. Right in the heart of the museums too. Some people are having a picnick, some are on the grass just chillin'. I see one vagrant under a tree far back under a homemade canopy beneath a tree. Two guys are independently walking their dogs. It is peaceful and quiet. There are small hill mounds about the park and a walking path. I could come here every day if I lived close enough. Pretty serence sceen for ABQ.

Lovely park that we discovered for a lunch break on a long road trip. We picked up food just a few blocks down the street but they didn't allow dogs on their patio so we got take out and headed over here. We had a lovely lunch in the shade, played some ball and had a nice short walk. Super empty on a Thursday afternoon. Worth a visit when you are in downtown. Keeping this one on my stopover list.

Beautiful park with lots of shade. Lots of trash overflow in the receptacles which took away from some of the beauty.
