We had seen recommendations all over TikTok for breakfast spots in Santa Fe and this one kept popping up the most so we had to try it out. We came at peak time and we had around 4 groups in front us, but still we were seated within 5-8 minutes. Our waiter was quick to take our order and consistently came back to assure we were good on drink refills and to check on us. I had the sausage breakfast burrito with Christmas sauce (half green, half red). The burrito was large and filling and the sauces were delicious - I ended up liking the slightly spicier red sauce to the more flavorful green. The wife went with the Thursday Special. It was a pork plate with a sort of adobo sauce. She too enjoyed her dish and spoke highly of the tenderness of the pork and overall flavor. For a quick and easy breakfast, I'd highly recommend Tia Sophia's. Good service, good food and reasonably priced. KG Recommended.

The whitest Mexican or I should say "New Mexican" food! Ordered two tacos, and I got two taco shells with ground meat and letters!!! What the hell is this?!? Do white people really think these are tacos?!?!? Explore and demand authentic foods! With all the great Mexican or "New Mexican" spices, and Mexico down south, they produce these tasteless tacos!!! Using those taco shells, meats, salsa and ingredients is an embarrassment! The salsa is just tomato sauce!! This is not Mexican or "New Mexican" taste or food!!! Mexican/"New Mexican" foods are rich in flavor and delicious! The salsas are vast and full of taste! The Mexican cuisine is one of the top world wide, and this is not it! They is pure crap, and going for the "look", not the taste. Shame on you!! Corn tortillas over flour or offer both! I guess they are afraid to bother the white people's palettes with real spices and taste!!! I was bothered that they still sell this crappy food to people! If you want fake and tasteless Mexican or "New Mexican" food, this is your place! Don't discriminate real taste and flavor! Sincerely, a proud Mexican or New Mexican!!!

We had a delicious lunch here a month or so ago. The restaurant is super cute, staff are friendly, and the food is amazing. We had the chile relleno lunch specials and everything was mouth wateringly tasty. Wish we lived closer so we could eat here more often!

This place is small and gets busy fast so I recommend getting there at a decent time. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito. It was good. Not the best I've had. But I will say it was very flavorful. I wish my burrito had a little more egg in it. There was definitely plenty of hash browns. Service is quick!

I heard they invented the breakfast burrito, but unfortunately we couldn't get there until lunch time. However both dishes we tried were really good. We shared the chili relleno and the stuffed sopapilla. Fast service, casual atmosphere. Rice and bean side were tasty. Sopapillas with honey were very fluffy. Overall nice place to grab a casual meal.

This place is obviously a staple of the Plaza area. They coined the phrase "Christmas" for red & green chile sauces, which you'll now hear all over town. It's casual and comfortable, decorated with colorful sombreros, dresses, weavings, and coloring sheets done by children. We came for breakfast and I had to get something with a Santa Fe twist. Good idea! Blue corn pinon pancakes were delicious! Hearty and the little nubbins of the pinon nuts added a bit of bite. Staff were busy but friendly. Definitely a place that locals come as well as visitors.

Walked into this restaurant minutes before 1pm without realizing they were closing. We were told by the waitress immediately after sitting down that she had to take our order because the kitchen was closing so we had about two seconds to review the menu. When we expressed that we didn't realize they were closing they kept telling us it wasn't a problem and we could sit and eat for as long as we wanted. I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage that came out immediately. I was disappointed to see it had whole patties of sausage in it making it a little awkward to eat. After taking three bites of our food a busser rolled a cart right next to our table and started clearing cups and dishes from the surrounding tables. Not exactly a relaxing atmosphere -quite the opposite actually-it made us feel even more rushed than we did when ordering. We were still eating when the waitress dropped the check on our table. Overall the food was okay but we wouldn't have even sat down had we known they were closing and we'd be rushed. Wish the host said something when we walked in. Wouldn't bother going back with all the other options in the area.

For the huevos rancheros fan... come here for the breakfast we all dream about. The breakfast we deserve. When we walked in, a man walked out with a huge smile on his face and announced "you all are in for a treat!"This place did not disappoint. Our table of 10 ordered the breakfast burritos, blue berry pancakes, breakfast enchiladas and of course huevos rancheros. Everyone left full and happy. Highly recommend!

I used to have an office near Tia's and I went here a lot. A LOT. Frankly, I got kind of burned out on it and started taking it for granted. My wife continues to meet friends for lunch here and told me I was crazy. Well, I took a couple relatives there (we were in Santa Fe and it was convenient) last week and - I was a fool to ever pause my visits to Tia Sophia's. Nothing's changed (but the prices - thanks to the crazed printing of money that started during COVID, everything is more than twice what it was when I was last here) - the staff is still super on-it and friendly, the room is still folksy, clean and crowded . . . but they always find room for you. And the food is really excellent. My guests wouldn't stop raving about how good it was. Obviously, I'll make it a priority to stop in more often. Heck, writing this up makes me want to take a drive up there NOW . . .
