Theobroma Chocolatier

I inhaled the chocolate too fast to post a picture ‍. Sorry, not sorry. I had a milk chocolate truffle and a sunflower milk chocolate "lollipop". Literally ate them both before I was out of the parking lot. Went in to place special order for a later pick up. The lovely lady who I placed the order with was awesome! I'm so excited to come back and pick it up. Small warning. The minute you open the door to the business- you will be treated with the beautiful smell of all things chocolate. It's heaven. You've been warned.

I've been here a few times now- mostly to get chocolate covered strawberries and sometimes as gifts. They are a small shop, but have plenty to choose from. The strawberries were tasty and fresh. At $19 for half a dozen strawberries, it can get a little pricey. We got the dark chocolate and they even gift wrapped the box for us for Valentine's Day. Parking is easy and they do call ahead orders. 2023 #3

Got these bonbons as a gift! They're a milk chocolate and dark chocolate variety, but with the fillings are random. Wish they had a description of the flavors somewhere. Some are fruity and others caramel. They're very pretty to look at too!

Small shop but plenty of options. I stopped in to purchase chocolates for a family member who was having a birthday. He loves dark chocolate. Empty packages are on display unless it's inside the glass display cases. Pick what you want outside the case and the salesperson will grab your items from the stock in the back. Really nice packaging. Prices are in line with other chocolate shops. I bought a small box of chocolates for myself as well and loved them. I will be back.

The best chocolate! It's local and delicious. They have variety boxes, seasonal chocolates, and a wonderful display to choose from. It's worth the drive to pick up chocolate for special occasions.

I'm dropping one star from my original review due to an overall upping of the chocolate game in Albuquerque, and some less than stellar interactions with employees. This remains a very good chocolatier, with all of the hallmarks that make me want to support them: it's a small shop, the truffles are appealing to look at and satisfy your cocoa craving, anticipate good gift buying, if that's what you're looking for. About a year back, another competitor opened their doors in the north valley, a bean to bar operation that's producing world class product, and I'd love to see their presence elevate the overall chocolate game, city-wide. Until then, I'll consider Theobroma a good option during the holidays, they're very, very festive. And when I'm in the neighborhood, hey, there's always a reason to support local dark (70%+) chocolate. Hey, it's good for you!

At Theobroma, it's always Valentine's Day!I've been to this cute, local chocolatier several times and am impressed each time I enter the door. The smell of freshly made chocolate fills the place with memories of being a kid. Yesterday I went in for some special Valentine treats for my hubs and son. The owner was there and was friendly. He gave me several samples that were so delicious my eyes were watering. They have everything you could ever want in a local chocolate store. From dark or milk chocolate dipped Oreos to solid chocolate "Aspirin" pills, truffles, chocolate covered popcorn, chocolate covered sea salt caramels, and chocolate dipped strawberries. They have super cute cars, cell phones, or other special, fun designs made from solid chocolate. They also had a plethora of Valentine gifts, boxed chocolates, and foiled hearts. Don't miss out on this adorable shop. Do yourself a favor and try the Cortez Crunch which is now my favorite. It's a bar shaped piece of heaven with milk and dark chocolates, caramel, and a chocolate cookie base. Just delicious!!

I have finally found a chocolate shop equivalent to the best ones in Europe! Not only is the chocolate beautiful but also DELICIOUS!

Chocolate is on a different level. Staff always helpful with special request. Great place for last minute gifts too!

You are missing out of you have not had the chocolate here. It is delicious. It is my go to for Valentine's Day or just because chocolate. Sometimes I even stop by for an Oreo because I like to support a local business. A former employee bought it from the old owner so he could enjoy retirement and she has an unrivaled passion to continue the legacy. I hope this place is here forever.
