Would have loved to try it, but they seemed like they were never open. Then one day they were, and we walked in at 1 pm and we're told they ran out of everything! I cant review their food, it maybe great when they're open Looked like a cute place, call before you go! (Seemed to be the theme of eating out in RR just after Labor Day.....foodies beware of that if you want any options)

While visiting Red River, NM, my husband and I wanted breakfast/ brunch and based on reviews, we decided to go here. It was a nice walk from our hotel. Sadly, the weather wasn't the best,it was raining, but we made it. I have to admit, I didn't quite understand how the process worked. You walk in and if there's a wait, which there was (a good sign), we were instructed to go down the hallway and wait. We waited for awhile and they finally called our name and took us to a table. No instructions given. We sat there for awhile waiting, finally a kind man sitting next to us told us to get up and go to the next room to place our order. We did so. The girl taking our order was polite but English was not her first language and I asked her a couple of questions about the menu and she obviously didn't understand what I was saying. Not a huge thing, but just made the process more time consuming. It took awhile, but we received our food, although my order wasn't correct. Again, I think the language disparity was the problem but we did enjoy the food, and overall the experience was positive. It was just kind of odd.

This is the best meal we've had on our trip so far.We actually came here because they are located in the same building as the snowmobile tour we were going on after lunch. We arrived around 1:00 and there was only one other diner in the restaurant. You choose your own seat, look at the menu, then go up to the counter to order and pay. We got the Reuben sandwich with beer battered fries. The reuben was yummy. The pastrami had a slightly smoky flavor with the edges of the meat a tiny bit charred, which was actually a nice change for the typical reuben. The fries were perfectly crispy. Hubby got the Slopper, which was smothered in green chile sauce and cheese. The Chile had a slight spice to it. He ate the whole thing. Overall, we'll be back next time we're in Red River!

Good food for a good price. Great deserts, would recommend getting a piece of the coconut cake.

We ordered the Chachi burger, the Hoss sandwich and the Morticia Chili Relleno plate. My husband didn't care for the chili on his Chilies Rillenos, but we are used to Texas Mex flavors. The Hoss is really spicey, but I love spice. It was absolutely delicious. My daughter loved her Chachi burger. The fries are excellent. The service and the food is great. The breakfast food gets really great reviews. If you do lunch, I think they close around 2p

5/2/2023 so we head down for lunch and yelp says they are open. The doors are unlocked you can smell food cooking, but the restaurant itself is dark. The handwritten not on the door says opens May 3 which is tomorrow. We walk in since it is unlocked. Finally see someone and she says rather curtly that they don't open until tomorrow. Sheesh. 5/3/2023 9:30 am we are headed out of town we stop here again since it was that side of the street. They ladies were sweeter and attitude way different than the day before. 3 street taco breakfast tacos with bacon (you get your choice of ham, sausage or bacon) hash browns, eggs and cheese with a side of salsa. She literally is making the tacos as I am ordering! $9.00 they were fresh and almost too hot to eat. All is forgiven and forgotten when I taste these heavenly tacos! Not the diet plate and worth every calorie and artery clogging bite! Thank you ladies and good sir for a great Red River farewell.

Wow, cruising thru town and was hungry and noticed they had a patio (which was dog friendly) and stopped in for lunch. We both had variations of a Philly cheesesteak; mine traditional and his with hatch chilis and au jus, both with fries. Fries were crispy, nothing fancy fries. The sandwiches were very tasty. The meat was cooked perfectly with a crust. The peppers and onions on both were cooked well. Both were great but I would choose the hatch au jus variation if I had to do it over. Yummy! The people were very friendly. Nice clean happy patio.

Since the restaurant we intended to eat at was closed , we decided to eat lunch here. Very friendly and warm personnel. My husband had the patty melt and I had the French dip. Both came with fries. All food was very good. We chose to eat outside since it was so nice out. Very good choice.

Due to the time of year and labor shortage, you place your order at the counter and your food is delivered to you. I had the breakfast tacos with bacon and the were delicious! Casual attire, typical diner decor.

Planned to go for breakfast but they stop serving breakfast at 11. Lunch was very good! The "Hoss" sandwich was delicious. Our group also got the chicken quesadilla, the BLT, and the enchiladas. All of it was great. The servers were friendly. Atmosphere is very casual. There is nice outdoor seating. Strawberry shortcake was delicious!
