Tierra Antigua was a great place to live till Greystar took over. Now it's nothing but overpriced slum. 2.5 years to get a roof leak fixed in my garage. Yearly 10% rent increases, and shitty security services.

Tierra Antigua must be Spanish for over-priced apartments. $890 for a 711 sq ft one bedroom and you pay extra for water, trash, electric, gas and pest control. I won't be moving here.

Two large dogs in apartment in residence, management does not make any effort to respond to the continuous barking dogs and community annoyance. This has been going on for months and occurs continuously through out day and night.

Resident for 11 years. Lease prohibits smoking within 25 feet of buildings and inside facilities. In July 2022 new neighbors moved in sharing common balcony and stairwell with me. I have documented and photographed repeated smoking violations ever since. I have filed multiple complaints and shown evidence and each has been sent to management. However, the violations continue. Ongoing lease violations by this neighbor, who, in October actually confronted me at my own front door. He deliberately lit a cigarette and tried to provoke and harass. Management either cannot or will not enforce this no smoking restriction in the lease. This is also a breach of my lease agreement with management. I pay for smoking controlled environment but, after 6 months with this neighbor and reporting the violations to management, am not getting what the lease stipulates.

When it came time to leave our Greystar property, we were raked over the coals to get every last dime before we left and it seems they don't care about their reputation or leaving on good terms because the options to vote with your dollars are limited. If you need to rent an apt in the ABQ/Rio Rancho area, then you are at their mercy. Greystar has become a king and renters their serfs. Expect to be treated as such. I was a resident at Tierra Antigua for over 5 years and it was an overall fine experience before Greystar bought it and took over management recently. The complex had its problems which we overlooked because everything else probably has the same problems: shoddy appliances, cockroach and black widow infestations, old plumbing, dated interiors, etc. I was warned that I should not renew my lease and get out before Greystar took over. I wish I would have listened. My first encounter with the new Greystar manager was truly an unpleasant experience and left a foreboding sense of things to come. They will refuse to use any common sense or empathy to maintain good will between residents and management. Afterall, if one were to want to leave and rent somewhere else there is a good chance it will be another Greystar property since they have been buying up all the rental properties around ABQ and systematically artificially inflating the rent. If anyone reading this feels so inclined to try and avoid this international, multi-billion dollar corporate monster, their website makes it possible as they list properties they own. This management company is horrendous and I will never rent from them again. I will be advising everyone I know to do the same. They can bully people and get away with it, I'm sure, thanks to a handsomely compensated team of lawyers.

Lived here for a short time and glad to be leaving. The office NEVER answers their phone. Maintenance work orders take weeks to complete. The pool and hot tub are not available for use and always are filled with leaves and sticks. Greystar has an "F" rating from the better business bureau for a reason. Stay away from greystar properties at all costs, especially this one. One of the worst aspects of this complex is how dirty the grounds are. Downstairs neighbors will sit on your stairs and smoke and leave their cigarette butts on the ground for you to walk through. The apartment wasn't clean when we moved in either. Had to vacuum false eyelashes and dog hair out of the carpet and there was a glob of hair in the dishwasher. There was also black mold on the ceiling of the shower that I had to scrub off upon moving in. They're not quiet and every evening there is a banging noise that comes from the walls in my apartment. Glad to be moving to a more affordable, nicer place. Looks like several residents are moving out and not renewing leases.

I've lived here for 6 going on 7 years, and boy have I seen some stuff go down. We went through maintenance like wild fire, every week there was someone new, and office staff as well. Recently, these apartments were bought out by some big company or whatever, which at the time was fantastic, but now it's just annoying. They've remolded everything but also spiked our rent, in an un remodeled apartment, raising it once again, and yet we don't even have a working washer. The washer broke on the Wednesday before thanksgiving, so of course I expected the wait due to the holiday, but Monday comes around, and the office failed to even answer the phone. These new office people do that a lot, and it's almost pathetic at this point. We called once on Thursday, leaving a message reporting our broken washer, again on Saturday not hearing any news about someone coming to fix it and AGAIN on Monday. Monday came and we still had a broken washer, so we called once more. Now it's Wednesday and we still don't have a working washer. Just a few minutes before I walked down to the office, I called again, furious that there still hasn't been any one to come fix it and that there hasn't even been a call back. Would you be shocked if I told you they didn't answer? Well, surprise, they didn't. It's 3pm, and I know that the office is 100% open, so I've decided to walk down there and confront them. I show up and speak to one of the ladies at the front desk. They were talking to someone about signing a lease and boy I'm happy those people didn't do it. I asked the lady what the issue was, and apparently there was only one guy on job for maintenance, which would be fine to know if they had called back two days ago. They could have easily called and informed me that the work order was received and that there was only one guy at the moment, which would have been just fine, but these office ladies barley pick up the phone to answer it so I doubt they'd bother to dial numbers . And even when I mentioned that every time I've called no one has answered, her excuse was that she was on vacation and there was one person in the office, which was funny since I had called less than 15 minutes before walking over. Not to mention, every summer we never have either pool or hot tub in working condition. It's always closed or something's wrong with the filter, so the little idea of spending your summer by the pool is complete trash at this point. If you're moving here or looking too, DO NOT. This place is over priced considering the fact you can't even enjoy anything their crappy website promised. The 1.5 stars is generous for this place. Hoping to find a house soon or even a better complex once my lease is up. Such a poor waste of money and time.
