Over a year ago, we toured many independent and assisted living facilities in Albuquerque, when my mother needed additional care. This one turned out to be the right fit for my mom. It was small enough to not overwhelm her, and they welcomed her into a one bedroom apartment with her cat. There are daily activities that many of the residents attend. The staff are friendly and patient, and clearly care about the residents. The dining room is open and sunny. Many times during the day, people check in with my mom to make sure she is doing well. The director, Monica, has been great about problem-solving my mom's health issues as she begins to decline. I am very pleased about the care my mom is receiving there.

My stepdad recently became a resident after multiple falls at home. The staff has been great at ensuring he has everything he needs, checking in on him several times a day. They are great at communicating with my mom if there is anything of concern. The meals are nutritious and their chef, Mark, knows every resident by name. Laundry and cleaning are done on a weekly basis. The property is landscaped beautifully and provides a serene and inviting environment for residents to sit outside on the multiple patio areas. Residents have daily activities they can choose from such as a morning coffee chat or Boggle in the afternoon along with yoga once a week. Kimberly, the Community Relations Director, is on top of any issues that may come up and treats the residents and family as if they are a part of her own family. It is a true community and family.

My boyfriend had multiple falls in his home and ultimately ended up in the hospital. He decided he could not continue to live alone in his home. We researched many assisted living facilities in Albuquerque and ultimately decided on the Village at Alameda. The staff are warm and friendly, and extremely responsive to their residents, making sure that they are comfortable and safe. The rooms are cleaned, laundry is done on a weekly basis, beds are changed routinely, and the chef prepared meals are wonderfully delicious. There are daily activities, a wellness center for mild exercise, and a beauty shop and open patios where clients and family may enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Kimberly, the community relations director, goes out of her way to make sure that the transition from independent living is as smooth as possible, assisting both the client and the family. There is close communication between the staff and family members. This little jewel of a facility is located adjacent to the balloon fiesta park, nestled within established landscaping. It's a calm, inviting atmosphere for anyone. I highly recommend this facility for anyone.
