Very lovely shop. Reasonable prices for handcrafted ornaments. Wonderful couple helped us. Gave us the story of the ornament that I picked. Huge selection, something for everyone. Also gave terrific recommendations for place to grab dinner The Shed and breakfast Tia Sophia.

I've been purchasing overpriced lights from here for years for two reasons: 1) I wanted to support a small business and 2) they guaranteed the lights so if they broke you could mail them to them and they'd fix them. This is despite sometimes looking up the same lights online right inside the store and often seeing them cheaper elsewhere, but then buying them from the shop. I just called because my Jack Skellington lights purchased a few years ago are broken and I wanted to mail them back. To my surprise, I was just told that they don't do that anymore. So even though these were purchased with some guy (I think he is one of the owners) reminding me I could bring them back if there was a problem, they apparently aren't going to honor this. These lights have a price tag from the shop of $34.50. They are $20 online from Walmart now. I will not be shopping here anymore. Feeling ripped off when you supported a business and then having them pull a switch-a-roo isn't cool.

Cool spot- the owners are excellent and very welcoming, no matter where you're from. They have local artists from Santa Fe and Albuquerque (and other places around the state), and their prices were SO reasonable, which shocked me. I was expecting much higher prices for a shop like this.I got to purchase gifts for Christmas for friends and family, and I got 4 different people's gifts for less than $50- all from local artists. I was pleasantly surprised with both the service, the cinnamon-y ambiance, and the prices. If you find yourself in Santa Fe, definitely check them out!

This small shop has some cool stuff by local artists like Kimo DeCora as well as some cheaper ornaments. It's great for picking up gifts. Parking is terrible in the area so if you go, it's worth checking out more shops nearby in this crowded, touristy part of town. There's 3 staff. 2 are helpful, kind, and seem to enjoy their jobs. Then, there's the one staff lady that seems to hate her job and people. Ole Scrooge was short with customers, made all sorts of facial expressions, snide remarks and was unhelpful until she got called out. We dropped about $150 here on 7 ornaments despite the cringe of feeling like annoying tourists. Sadly, that stands out to us versus the cool items and other 2 delightful staff.

As you can guess, this is all year round Christmas store! Very close to the Plaza, easy to stumble upon!We like to buy X-mas ornaments wherever we travel, so I was shopping for specific items! This store is big, it has everything you can imagine and more. From generic ornaments and generic brands to local inspired items, what I was looking for, ornaments with motifs specific to New Mexico.Nice customer service, huge selection!

This Christmas shop has a wide variety of interesting ornaments, many of them handmade by local artists! In fact, the ornament that I purchased came with a little blurb about the artist that made it. The clerk that rang me up (who I think may have been the shop owner) was incredibly knowledgeable about their ornaments and the people that create them. A very charming store with a unique inventory, definitely worth checking out!

I am usually hesitant to go into Christmas stores as they are usually overwhelming and packed with tons of stuff made in China. This Christmas store was open later than some other shops, so after having a nice dinner downtown, I walked past the store, noticed their lights on and such a welcoming atmosphere, and decided to head inside. This shop was pleasantly surprising. The owners are incredibly friendly and truly thrilled to have you in their store. They talk with people as they check out and find out where people are from and even will give recommendations. What I really loved about this store is that is not overwhelming with their displays everywhere. The couple who own the store have different trees displayed throughout, but it is not crowded with holiday themed things everywhere. The best part about this Christmas shop is that there are so many local artists that are represented here. This is wonderful, because not only are you supporting local artists, but you are also able to find more unique ornaments made with different materials, at reasonable prices. I ended up purchasing ornaments for gifts, as well as for myself as a beautiful memory of my love for Santa Fe.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The two women working there were absolutely horrible to us the entire time we were in the store. Either one of the women at any given point would start following us; one even stopped me in my tracks while I was near the door. My wife and I bought something and my in-laws cashed out behind us. Wife and I left the store and next thing we know is my wife is being told to come back in bc she stole something. (WHAT?!) We went back in, my wife emptied every single pocket of hers and there was NOTHING that belonged to the store. Then one of the women was pushing the narrative that my wife went outside and dumped whatever she "stole". I asked that they pull video footage to which they said they didn't have cameras. And, really, if there were so certain she stole something, why not say something while we were still in there?? Why would they let us leave?? They threatened to call the police in which we replied, "PLEASE DO!" We ended up leaving bc neither the two awful, ignorant women nor their store deserved any more of our energy. Oh, and all of their products are very cheap looking; a lot of the ornaments were plastic (which you can get cheaper on Amazon.)

The most amazing customer service of my life. Bought a miniature castle a few months before Christmas last year. Opened at Christmas and one of the outer gates had two identical pieces instead of mirror-image pieces, so it didn't work. Called them, assuming they couldn't/wouldn't do something 3 months after-the fact. Shock #1: The remembered me and the specific castle. Shock #2: they said they would open up one they still had in the back, set aside the gate pieces, and let me choose which one I needed next time I was in town. Wait, what? No receipt, no questions, no care how much time had passed. They just wanted to make it right. For real? Turns out I never made it back....until yesterday, 15 months after my initial purchase and a year after the phone call. I'm in the shop and as I'm checking out he asks me how my castle is doing? I'm still trying to get over the shock of him remembering me 15 months after I was last there when he reaches under the counter and pulls out the gate pieces!! Whaaaat? He still has them set aside for me?!? He hands them to me and I don't even remember which one I need so he just tells me to take them both and bring back the ones I do not need, Seriously? I couldn't believe it. I was still in shock driving home. With Amazon and all the big box stores, small mom and pops like The Shop survive because of AMAZING customer service, personal attention, and actual care for their customers' satisfaction. Yes they have a huge selection of things you'll find nowhere else, and at good prices, but this is that rare gem of a store that understands that remembering some stranger's tiny piece of plastic 15 months later means so much more than two-day shipping. And you get all of it without being asked for an annual membership to support a hundred-billionaire. Please support this amazing, locally owned store that all others should emulate. They have awesome stuff, reasonable prices and customer service that is quite frankly off the scale. TLDR; Store owner made my purchase right without a receipt because he remembered me and what I bought 15 months later. Great store with great stuff and a mom and pop we should all support.
