New Mexican is my favorite cuisine in the world and the Shed really knocked it out of the park on my recent visit. The red chile was perfection, it had so much depth of flavor. The posole was perfectly cooked and so were the beans. The prices here seem to have somehow missed inflation, which was a lovely surprise. This time I actually liked it better than La Choza, which is my usual favorite. The biggest miss here is that they don't serve sopapillas. How can you be a legacy New Mexican restaurant and only serve garlic bread in your bread basked? The service was also horrendous here, but that seems to be the case everywhere these days, so I won't drop them down a star on account of the service. All in all one of my favorite spots in Santa Fe and I will definitely return!

When I say this is my number one fav restaurant in the world, I have dined everywhere, from 3 Mich stars to a family hearth in Laos. This is my favorite food I've ever had. The red chili has this mineralic richness that balances the heat - a depth of flavor that rivals the greatest French wines ever made. This is peasant food made from fresh, traditional ingredients, in traditional preparations, developed over centuries to nourish and inspire. The restaurant is situated in old adobe, further connecting you to the most historic American cuisine. Service is quick, informative, and kind. If you're new to it, get a number 10 "Christmas" (both red and green chili) and don't sleep on the amazing bar. Expert classic margaritas and a great selection of beers.

I've been coming to The Shed for about 30 years and unfortunately the quality of the food has not held up. It used to be one of the best restaurants in Santa Fe and although the restaurant is always constantly packed, mostly with tourists, it's just not the same. We started with the red tamale appetizer which absolutely delicious, probably the only thing on the menu that holds up. For our entrees we got the beef taco plate and the enchilada plate. Each plate comes with beans, pozole & garlic bread. The taco plate is ground beef and baked so it's a fork and knife type of meal. The taco itself is ok, but doesn't leave an impression. The pozole used to come on the side in a little bowl and is now served on the plate and is overcooked and dry. The red or green sauce is what really gives the plate its flavors. The enchilada plate was also just ok. The Shed is known for its garlic bread which now just tastes like slightly burned frozen garlic bread from the grocery store.I come back once year in hopes that the quality returns to what it once was. I gave 3 stars for the tamale which is great and the service which is amazing.

I kept hearing mixed things about the shed. Go, don't go, go. I HIGHLY recommend reservations. I showed up at 530 and it was already a 2 hour wait so I waited for a seat at the bar. As someone who doesn't like enchiladas, the chicken enchiladas with green chile and an egg on top was phenomenal. The green chile wasn't spicy but flavorful. I also ordered the guac which was good but not anything super special. The frozen mango margarita was really good. FYSA- there's maybe 8 bar seats (very small bar) they do have some bar tables open but it's only for drinks and chips and dip. You'll order at the bar.

If you don't have a reservation be prepared for a very long wait. Waitlist for those without reservations start at 4pm and if you don't get there before 4 the line will already be out the door. We got there at 4pm and waited 15 mins to be able to get ourselves onto the waitlist. At that point we were quoted a seating time of 8:30pm. This ended up being accurate as we eventually got to sit down and eat around 8:45pm.Service was friendly and fast despite how busy they were. Food was decent. Comparable to Tomasita's and Tia Sophia's around the area. The corn chowder was a surprise hit.

This is a very popular restaurant in Santa Fe, in the heart of the touristy shops. Don't expect to get in quickly. You'll probably have an hour+ wait. It's perfect though if you go early and put your name down, with the plan to keep walking around and shopping while you wait, as they'll text you when your table is ready. The outdoor patio area has a nice feel. I got vegetarian red Chile enchiladas, and they were delicious. I am often underwhelmed by new Mexican food and chile not havinga ton of flavor, but this food definitely did. My friend got a chicken sandwich and I think she was happy with it too.

The shed, to this day, is on my absolute favorite restaurants. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are amazing and it perfectly fits the Santa Fe scene. We tired many things on the menu but my favorite had to be the spinich enchilada, with vegetarian posole. It was seriously one of the best meals I have ever eaten, and my mouth is watering just writing this! The service was great and the waiter helped explain the items on the menu, what she recommended, etc. There can be a long wait at times so put your name in early and shop around the nearby shops!

I wanted to start by saying I am not sure why this place has 3.9 stars. This place was absolutely delicious and, although can have a long wait, the service was great. Definitely makes my list of 5 star reviews. We arrived at dinner time and told there would be a 2-3 hour wait. However, you can sit at the bar and 5 bar tables while you wait. There you can order drinks as well as a small bar menu that features chips with salsa, guacamole, and/or queso. We went with the salsa and queso and it was delicious. Instead of waiting the 2-3 hours we were able to vulture into a spot at the bar where they have a full service menu. We started with the corn chowder which we found delicious. I ordered the blue corn burrito with the red and green sauce. It was tasty with just the right amount of spice. The drink menu was a majority of different types of margaritas, but since we are whiskey drinkers, we ordered The Cowboy, a rye cocktail with Grand Marnier and Shed Sour Mix.Overall, food was great and pricing was cheaper than other area restaurants.KG recommended

Hearty but somewhat bland food served with kindness right in the heart of Santa Fe's old town. Sometimes the wait at Shed can be 1-1.5 hours long - we snuck in before the lunch rush and were seated outside on a chilly morning almost immediately. While the chips and salsa were on point, all of the elements of the taco/enchilada plate we ordered (modified to be vegetarian) were pretty bland - a lost opportunity in New Mexico where there is such a wide variety of flavors available. The patio setting was beautiful in the sun and the service is friendly and attentive, but I definitely would not spend an hour waiting for food here.
