When we got there I asked the lady where it was and she said they got rid of it awhile ago. My poor child was crying cause now they want to go see the animals since the playground wasn't there. We only stopped by since it was free and along the way on our road trip.

My granddaughters love this playground almost as much as seeing all the animals at the zoo. We had to do 2 detours here to get their wiggles out. The big slide is the best. Half the adventure is getting to the top by various activities. We will be back as we have an annual pass.

Albuquerque's Rio Grande Zoo is a nice zoo that keeps the children entertained. There aren't as many exhibits as you may see in a large one like San Diego, but it has lots of animals you would not usually see here in the semi-arid/ desert climate. They have koalas, crocodiles, polar bears, primates, animals from the African grasslands, seals, and so much more. They also have a train and a jungle gym play area. I highly recommend going to the zoo during the Fall. The trees are beautiful and the animals are more active. It's my favorite time of year to visit the Zoo.

This place is great, it needs a separate listing on Yelp! The Good: Holy corridors, Batman, this place is the best! Kids take off their shoes and bum rush this contraption of fabric slides, tunnels, archways and Tarzan-esque rope swings. Nearby benches and tables provide great respite for the parents, as well. This is a terrific area to have a picnic lunch, exhaust the tikes and let them have a little summertime fun, running through the trick water fountain just outside the play structure entrance. The Bad: Is often under repair, since the fabric isn't endlessly durable and big kids (who, me?) have been known to go after their toddlers inside the structure, which it really isn't built for. Also, badly behaved kids (who, mine?) can muck up the good time by running up slides and stopping the tunnel traffic. The Verdict: A unique, fantastic play structure unequalled in Albuquerque, and an incredible bonus for your Zoo admission dollar.
