Celebrated my daughter with family for completing 1600 hours at Vogue College Cosmetology on Friday, 2/7. Food was delicious as were the adult beverages!! TJ was an exceptional waiter!! Really down to earth and genuine.. seemed like he was part of the family ... which made our meal that much more special!! Thank you TJ for being you !!!

So on our way back to Albuquerque from ojo caliente we 4 of us decided to eat at the ranch house The food was great the service was horrible either the server was rude deaf and just didnt like her jobShe would ask us a question and we would answer it then give us a rude look and ask us the same question we ignored it the first time but then the sixth time it became annoying and obvious that she was giving attitude and just not listening to us We asked for bbq and A1 she left and came back with nothing and then asked us if we needed anything was she high who knows ? But she most definitely didnt want to wait on us the house lemonade (description :freshly squeezed)was watery when we ask for four new ones she looked at us said ok and never came back til after we ate our foodAlso i ordered a creme brûlée and they took forever just to come back saying cant make the creme brulee because the torch doesnt work every one knows if u put the dam thing in the oven on broil for 2-5 mins u will get the same thing u would get from a torch and if u dont then why are u cooking in the kitchen Dont be lazy people no excuses for this bad service esp when the food is Good 178$ bill with bad service

Great food. Apathetic service. Bad host.After leaving New Mexico about 12 years ago, and only returning on occasion for business, I invariably forget just how antithetical the prevailing culture here is to customer service, business and all things American. It's a weird place, a third world culture with occasionally fantastic food, art, and people interspersed in its ranks.Reading the wonderful write ups of this restaurant, I eagerly anticipated dining here. Hence, 45 minutes before closing, i enter the lobby and witness a tasteful dining room, one maybe 1/2 full. The hostess, without even asking, automatically escorts me into the bar. What was to be a nice, quiet, elevated dining experience in a semi-dimly lit room was instantly transformed into a Denny's experience. Instead of it being 1/2 full, it's 100% empty. Dirty dishes are piled up everywhere on 6 tables. The lighting is bright as though you're sitting in a mid west coffee shop. The staff is feverishly sweeping trash up and seemed distracted. The attitude of the server was one of disinterest, and remained consistent throughout the meal. I begged him to take my order as it was getting close to 8:25, nearly 1/2 hour before closing. The apathy exuded by the server was palpable. I can't entirely allay blame on the restaurant ownership or management as this is just New Mexico. Apathy is the one reliable feature that this state manufactures. It just doesn't work well in the food industry, where perfectionism and excellence, attention to detail and empathy are existentially mandated--to craft a great dining experience/establishment.The iced tea was bitter. The coke was too heavy in the syrup, way too sweet.The "medium well" cheeseburger was technically well done. However, the burger was quite good despite being over cooked, with outstanding green chile present, and I believe a char grill sort of taste to the patty; I like that. The restaurant's in house barbecue sauce, both hot and mild, greatly bolstered the burger, with the waffle fries being fine.This remains a classic example of a diligent cook and manager's efforts thwarted by bad service. The hostess ruined the experience by forcing me to eat in the Denny's like bar, with bright lighting, all alone, surrounded by a janitorial closing effort 1/2 hour before closing. It was an unpleasant experience overall, needlessly so. Suggestion: be assertive when dining here and insist on sitting in the dining room; demand the service that you need as it won't necessarily/ automatically emerge. Apathy is the rule in Santa Fe and Albuquerque restaurants.

We came here the day after Valentine's Day to celebrate that and our anniversary. It was very busy but the hostess said the wait was 15 minutes. We ended up waiting an hour. The waiting room was small and crowded and no seats available. When we got to be seated I saw there were so many empty tables that could have been filled. I understand that they were understaffed but they should be more prepared for a Saturday night. Peggy our server was amazing and super nice. The food was great too. This was our first time here so we did leave happy, and full. We will come back only if a reservation can be made. (It said no reservations when we went on the website)

Okay... it does hurt to give 2 stars ... service was great and so was the ambiance.... But the food lord have mercy! Its a popular spot. Cant say i will returning... got the meats platter ... No!! Meats had no flavor and cold .... Brisket dry, pull pork no flavor, ribs too much smoke for me..... for me a no go.. but as always.... JUST DO IT!!!

We really enjoyed this restaurant. It is casual and the service has always been impeccable! The food is really really good too. The steaks are cooked perfectly and have a very good flavor. The bbq was also enjoyed and that cornbread!! Yummy! I would recommend a stop here- very good ambiance, service and food!

We were overall very dissatisfied with this experience. I ordered a medium rare sirloin- it was medium well and tougher than jerky, I couldn't even chew it. The waitress seemed as if she would rather be anywhere else, so I didn't feel like I should trouble her further. It took her so long to even come check on us, we decided to not wait an additional 3 business days to order dessert. It was definitely not the highlight of our trip.

We've been here before and loved it and this trip was no exception. It was Valentines Day... my Grandsons' birthday... so we decided to brave the crowds. The wait was less than 30 min. And the food was again, exceptional. My grandson (who turned 9) loved his burger, and everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. We shared the Green Chile Queso and chips and margaritas to start. I ordered a sirloin that was one of the best I've had in a long while. Truthfully, i was focused on my steak so I don't even remember what else was ordered. But they brought a huge double chocolate brownie for his bday and we devoured it! Well done!! We will return, yet again because it never disappoints.
