The New Baking Company

I used to come here when it was the Santa Fe baking co- and that I would give 5 stars alone in their organic Mexican coffee that was soooo good. While a lot of the business has remained close enough, I don't love the food or coffee quite as much. The crowd is great and filled with locals and visitors alike, probably taking up a much needed brunch spot that Tecolote used to provide. I went for the vegan breakfast bowl today and the last time I was here- and while I remember it being mostly the same , I don't remember all these potatoes. That's a LOT of potatoes guys, maybe some more greens and beans would have been a better choice!

A real disappointment. We had an omelette, scone and pecan pancakes with coffee ($36). Both the scone and pancakes were extremely dense and dry. The pecan pancakes were full of pecan slices, but their heavy texture made it had to finish the stack. The two-egg omelette was sadly overcooked. The menu featured on Yelp's photo stream is from the former cafe. Attached is the current self-service menu.

Our last stop in Santa Fe before heading home! It was quiet early in the morning so we got breakfast quickly. The blue corn pecan pancakes were hearty and filling! Lots of parking; convenient for those with mobility issues (a ramp went down to the restroom).

This place was recommended to me by a local friend, and they suggested that I get the breakfast burrito (x-mas style) and blue corn pancakes. I did peep the reviews before going but I didn't let a couple of disappointed folks sway me from seeing for myself. I came in on a Sunday morning (9-ish), and the place was pretty chill--just a handful of tables and 3 people in front of me. The staff was really friendly and while I waited to order at the counter, I picked up on their Spanish. So if you're bilingual, or maybe not as fluent in English, you've got options!Once I had ordered, I picked a spot to post up, but it didn't take too long for my food to come out. I definitely over-ordered, but it was nice to have leftovers for the next day. Both the burrito and pancakes were fresh and delicious. It is up to you to bus your table and if you need a box, just ask and you'll get one. I walked away satisfied and would totally come back on my next visit to Santa Fe.

A cute, unassuming spot - definitely recommend!The staff was so nice and friendly and the food was incredible! We got the Taos quesadilla and a cowboy bowl (the latter was recommended by the staff) and both were fabulous!! I scarfed the bowl so quickly and am so full! It was tasty and everything I could've dreamed of in a breakfast bowl One of our friends ordered the blue corn pecan pancake and it the bites we had of it were great!5/5 would come back again!

Worst Huevos Rancheros and disappointing. No Apple Pay! Get with the program folks. Place is a bit run down needing paint. Surprisingly a seemingly busy place. Perhaps another visit.... Not soon!

I really enjoyed my brunch here. It was busy (and a but noisy) inside so I decided to enjoy the sunshine at the tables outside. The food was ready quickly and was great. I'm looking forward to trying their other menu options as well as repeating the BLT breakfast sandwich, too. The latte was bigger than I expected which was a great surprise. Tasted great also!I enjoyed my first time eating here very much.

The nastiest, bad smelling bacon was served in this place today. It can't get worse than this. The picture speaks for itself.

Vegans beware. The Tofu Scramble has eggs in it (um, what?!. We told them we're a vegan family and please be sure everything is vegan. Instead, they gave us non-vegan English muffins, which our four yo (vegan from conception), unfortunately ate. We waited at least twenty minutes and had to ask twice before the server could tell us they weren't vegan. The scramble also tasted like there was butter in it. New Bakery Co. - PLEASE offer some truly vegan dishes or remove the word from your menu. I've worked as a cook and it shouldn't be this hard to order for a vegan family.

Doing some business on Cordova Road in Santa Fe. Stopped into this place for a quick lunch. Strange business model. You stand in line to order at the cash register where you have your first opportunity to view the menu while other customers wait impatiently behind while I try to read the small print. For drinks, they give you a glass and point you to a self-serve fountain. When I got my drink, I found that the glass had a hole in the bottom. It leaked all the way to my table. When my burrito arrived it was laying lonely on the plate. Every other burrito I have ever ordered in Santa Fe was surrounded by beans, potatoes and salad. When I finished and stood up to leave, a man at the next table informed me that I was supposed to bus my dirty dishes. I presume he is a regular customer. I put a few bucks in a tip jar when I paid my bill (BEFORE I found my table and got my food). For the life of me, I have no idea what they did to earn it.
