We came to Living Room for drinks after dinner. The bar is beautiful and you can order food here if you'd like. We were stuffed, so we stuck with drinks. The service is professional and attentive. There is a choice of seating, but we chose to sit by the fireplace since fall was in the air. The drinks were good. The bar is on the pricer side, which is typical Santa Fe. However, the bar is walking distance to so much and was an enjoyable time. This is definitely a good option if you are looking for a more intimate setting to relax.

The Living Room is located inside the beautiful "Inn & Spa at Loretto" in Santa Fe. It's a spacious eclectic large lounge and bar with a beautiful very well stocked bar and super down to earth helpful knowledgeable staff. The place was busy late afternoon, all types of people relaxing with a drink and or having food. They have a happy hour from 4-6pm which we opted for and the Menu was a delight. The local artwork of northern New Mexico along with the style of the hotel is displayed all over and a delight to look at. Don't miss this gem of a place.

I wanted to give this place a more positive review but I'm sorry this place is a total time suck. Why? Not only is everything super pricey, but the service is SOOOO SLOW. I stayed at the hotel for a couple of days recently with my family and to get a shot and a beer seriously took a half hour! They don't appear to be understaffed since there are plenty of folks behind the bar, but our server (the same man EVERY TIME ) was super slow. The food is not terrible but not fantastic either so I couldn't imagine why the prices were so inflated as well. Do not come to this place if you're super hungry, that's for sure---but if you have hours to spend not really doing anything and if you don't mind waiting and waiting for even a glass of water then this is the place to be. Sorry guys, but this joint needs a major facelift.

Carolina & Arturo are always great to share time & energy with. They genuinely compliment the business, great atmosphere, & new pool well. 5+ star service.

This is a very comfortable place to get a drink and have a bite of food. The service was great. Since it is around the corner from the plaza, it doesn't get as packed as quickly as other places. Hidden gem.

We are Santa Fe locals and have loved The Living Room because of its pleasant atmosphere and that they have welcomed well-behaved dogs for many years -- big space, bar, fireplace, drinks with snacks. Well, whether you are a dog owner or dog lover I have bad news. We went for happy hour yesterday, kind of a tradition, and were asked if our (perfectly behaved) dog is a service dog. What?? You have now changed your policy and are no longer welcoming dogs in The Living Room?Answer was, "Sorry, that's always been our policy." Well that isn't what's been operating for many years, at least 8+, so it's not actually true.So we will have to vote with our business and go elsewhere. There are other dog friendly restaurants and hotels in Santa Fe and we will spend money there. We are very sorry to see big city bureaucracy creep into our friendly, flexible, common-sense town. This kind of thing happens when someone "not in the room" makes a decision, hands it down, and puts both customers and "in room" employees in an unfriendly position. Sad.

Amazing all around. The bartender is super-competent, the room has a nice ambiance and the drinks are priced well. They even have Chopin! I would've liked to see wider selection of bourbons and ryes. The fireplace just calls for a more robust signature drink menu and better top shelf bourbon.

Excellent drinks served in a living room atmosphere. The Strawberry Margarita, $12, is part of the "Margarita Trail" of Santa Fe. Both my bartender and server Cristian were great.

Beautiful spot in the loretto inn nice lounge area with many seating options from couches to high top tables to a bar area and outside seating if the weather is good. The ambience is really relaxed here with the lighting and the music they have. We made this our first stop in Santa fe and it was good choice. The menu is very complex with good craft cocktails to signature margaritas and a decent beer selection. Since it is Santa de I decided to try the green Chile gimlet and it sounds odd but it was good. The gin with the citrus lime and a small hint of hatch Chile it worked amd.i enjoyed my drink. My lady ordered a mezcal and rye o.f and it was boozy but flavorful. Good drinks at a candle lit lounge with a talented guitarist playing it made firts stop enjoyable for sure.

We were so excited to try out happy hour at the Living Room. We were staying at the Hotel St. Francis and had enjoyed superb service and delicious drinks the night before at our hotel bar, Secreto. We raced through the sleet, getting splashed by cars on the way, to get to the beautiful bar, the Library, at the Loretto. When we got there, we were greeted cheerfully by the server. However, things went south very quickly. Our server knew next to nothing about some of the drinks we wanted to order. We didn't have a problem with that because I, too, had been a server in my youth, and I think it is important to allow for someone who is perhaps new at the job to get his bearings. We don't know if this was the case with this server, but you never know. Unfortunately, just about every drink we tried to order was rejected in the most bizarre way. First, I tried to order the chocolate martini, which I had been looking forward to all day, but the server sort of made a wincing sound when I mentioned it, saying that the bartender told him he doesn't like to work with chocolate, so do not bring him such orders. So, that was off the table. Then, when we asked, he didn't know what RTDs on the Happy Hour menu were. He didn't know what the well drinks on the menu consisted of and kept disappearing to ask the bartender questions and reappearing with increasingly astonishingly weird messages from the bartender--things like "he doesn't like to make anything with strawberries tonight" when my husband tried to order a drink that involved strawberries. So, my husband just settled for a cheap Chardonnay. But then we got to talking about how almost Twilight Zone this whole experience was and elected to leave. For such an upscale hotel, we were frankly shocked by this whole experience. We came right back to Secreto and were treated well by the server and bartender, as usual.
