I was greeted and helped promptly after arriving in the show room. The associate (I can't remember his name) showed me the in-stock carpet items they had. I grabbed some samples to take home and was able to find a nice color to go with my remodel project. I had my own installer lined up but they also offer install as well if you need it. My contractor picked up the carpet and completed the install. Everything came out nice. 5 of 5.

We had 3 rooms done where carpet was removed. New wood vinyl floors put down. Tom and Jerry did an amazing job. We had 2 rooms done first. They came back after we dismantled furniture in third room. We asked if they could return and they did. Great product. Wonderful foors. Thank you.

The Floor Store tried extremely hard to help me with a laminate flooring problem. While ultimately it turned out that what I needed was a discontinued product, I certainly won't forget the effort they took to try and help me, especially on a job which wasn't going to turn a big profit for them. Would absolutely recommend.

We stopped in wanting carpet for a Master and Area Rug. The lady that helped us was something else. She said unless I bought a high end area rug, she wouldn't bother coming out to measure the Master. She said the Carpet that we wanted in the Master is outdated and suggested a cheap by the roll they carry. She didn't listen to our needs, could have cared less what we really wanted. Just wanted to sell a High End piece of rug that we would have to take elsewhere to have binded into an area rug. We took a sample with us, which after talking in the car we promptly returned. You don't have to act hooty tooty, if a Customer is holding a sample they like, price it out for them. That's another thing, she didn't know prices, had to look them up and it all seemed like a big bother.

From start to finish, replacing the carpet in our home was seamless. Tory was amazing and so great helping us select the best flooring for our needs. The crew who moved the furniture and installed the new carpet was fantastic! Everyone was prompt, responsive, friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

I've had more personal attention while ordering a Big Mac. The guy who waited on me showed me where the samples were, then said, "I'll be back," then disappeared. Another person finally came by and asked if I was being helped. Before I could answer, the first guy came wandering back. He answered questions if asked, but never offered any suggestions or comments. We made an appointment for an in home estimate the following day (Friday.) When he arrived, we said hello, then he went into the kitchen, measured for a couple of minutes, then on his way out said, "I'll call you Monday with a price." It's now a week later; that's the last I heard from him. Went to a competitor and bought a higher end product that, after some suggestions from the owner, I felt would look and wear better.

I decided to have my living room changed from carpet to wood flooring. This review will be broken down into a few areas: my initial walk-in and consultation, competitor pricing, installation, and payment.Initial walk-in: Just so happens, this was first place I checked out. I began and ended my search at "The Floor Store". I walked in, was greeted and spoke to a man named Torey. The knowledge he dropped on me was nothing short of impressive. He spoke to me clearly, and concisely regarding the different types of wood. He also talked about the types of installation. From moment one, I was thoroughly impressed. When I asked him a question, which there were many of (about design, installation, style, wear and tear, and more), he answered them directly. He didn't reply with a canned answer of a salesman, which I got elsewhere, but with the knowledge of someone that has been in the field for a number of years, and with the general concern and want of trying to assist me, and not just make a sale. Now, he did try to close the deal with a handshake, but in a comfortable way. I told him that I was just beginning my competitive pricing and search, and it would be a few weeks. He quoted me an approximate of what the installation and supplies would cost, but would have to come to my home to measure and view, in order to give a final price, which he said was free. I agreed on the free measurement and assessment, which he did a few days later. I inquired and wanted an estimate on both a straight and a diagonal laying of the wood. The diagonal cut would up costing about 1 thousand more than a straight design, with the cost in both additional wood and labor. After this free assessment, I told him I would be in touch. After seeing the competitors (listed below), I agreed on the price Torey quoted me, and gave him the job. We then set a date for installation after he ordered the product.Competitors: I went to 4 other flooring companies for quotes: 1. Austins Hardwood - The estimate was about $3k more than "The Floor Store"! This was with their "$200 off coupon" the salesman gave me! Also, the name of the company on the estimate paper was not "Austins Hardwood", it was some other company, this did not sit right with me. 2. House of Floors - I walked into House of Floors on Juan Tabo. The exact same flooring material was more than $5 sq/foot more!!!! I still scheduled a free in-home estimate. The final price quote was nearly $2k more. The salesman seemed knowledgeable, but there also seemed to be small upsales in molding/baseboard and other products. 3. Raby - I walked into Raby (on Menaul). I actually went there twice. The first time, I spoke with an older salesman, that seemed completely uninterested in talking with me. He was grumpy, didn't talk much, so I just looked around and then left. A couple days later, I walked back in and spoke with a saleswoman. We looked at different woods. She also seemed incredibly knowledgeable. The wanted to charge $50 for an in-home assessment and estimate, so I gave her the approximate square footage. Being in a rush, she actually ran some numbers and gave me a quick estimate. It was a few hundred more than "The Floor Store". I didn't like that they charged an estimate fee where other companies didn't. 4. CRT - This was through Costco's flooring program. Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a major fan of Costco. I called Costco's member services number, left my information, and received a call days later. To cut this short, I went to CRT's showroom. The cost was about the same, but they didn't have the same product as "The Floor Store", and I liked that product more, I also thought Torey was more knowledgeable. Installation: The installers arrived promptly at 8am. I stayed home and in a corner, out of the way, watching the installation. The wood was placed in my house a week prior to acclimate. Two installers came, Tom (20 years experience), and a second guy (I forgot his name), who seemed to be his apprentice. The job was great, and they cleaned up afterwards. The only snag was that the transition piece wasn't long enough, so they had to re-order it. It arrived a few days later, Tom returned, and installed it promptly.Payment: I made a 50% payment up front, to pay for and to allow the order of supplies. After the job was complete, I made the final 50% payment. There was no hassle, no nagging. The entire process was smooth and incredibly comfortable.Final: I highly recommend this company. I think Torey was forthright and honest. The pricing was great, as was the quality of the work.
