Accurate.Oh...you need more?Ok.Tingley Beach boasts several pools and ponds. For fishing, for...looking at? For...ducks.This pond was bursting at it's banks with ducks and geese. Also surrounded by some works of public art, children and families feeding the water fowl, and very close to the Bosque trail, this pond has (*in a Stefon voice*) everything.

I thought I was prepared for how many ducks and geese there would be in this duck pond. I grew up in WI where it was not abnormal to see flocks and flocks of geese and ducks just hanging out. There were so many ducks and geese. So many. It was pretty cool to see. There's also some public art to check out and some walking paths to explore, so check it out.

*NM DONUT KWEEN ADVENTURES*#32 for 2019Here is another example of #LocalFLavor. The duck pond @ Tingley Beach is a fun place to bring the kids to feed the ducks. If your out walking the bosque you can also do a few laps around the duck pond while enjoying their quacks. Wait... do ducks quack? :-)There is parking on one side of the pond and plenty more spaces just a few steps away. Back when i was little we used to bring bread and crackers to feed the ducks. Since then ive learned these are not good choices for the ducks. Corn, small pieces of lettuce, duck pellets are some healthy choices to feed them. Once you get acquainted with the ducks you'll notice different species as well as the different noises each species makes. For the kiddos this might make for a good book report :-)There are a few things to do while visiting the ducks. You can take a few moments to walk to the river. There are some beautiful views from the river deck! Total pic opportunities!
