The Community Lighthouse

This practice uses one very specific method of therapy that cannot be altered in any way, even for the best interest of the child. When we questioned this approach, our child's therapist of four months (Marla) immediately dropped our child's case and closed her file, meaning we couldn't try another therapist or get a referral to another practice. My advice to new patients would be to get a really good idea of what the therapy is, and whether that it will provide a safe environment for your child. Unfortunately, it was not safe for our child, and I wish I had learned that sooner.

I've had a couple experiences with Community Lighthouse. It's fairly difficult to get an appointment here and when we did it was during an unfavorable time. My son has attended about 7 sessions here. That isn't a lot of time but I'm not seeing a lot of rapport being built. It's possible it's not a good fit. I decided on CLH based upon suggestion from coworkers. They reported very good experiences here. Specifically with a therapist named Mo. CLH does BMS and medication management as well.

this group of providers and administrative personnel are like a second family to me and my child. From signing up, checking in and receiving weekly therapy, they make the process not only easy and streamline, but you can undoubtedly feel the warmth and caring these people have towards our well-being. I would highly recommend the community lighthouse not only for restorative therapy but maintenance therapy to deal with the every day experiences that have become normal in our society. Thank you!! Dr Susan Danto is efficient, on time, caring and smart. Her staff and counselors are "the bomb". Professional and understanding, given the nature of her practice. (childrens and adult psychiatry). Staff is cognizant of keeping the office roar to a minimum (small kids) with relaxing music, minimal chatter. Totally appreciate them!
