Rude staff and expensive liquor. You can go nearly anywhere else in town and get better choices, better prices and friendlier people.

I had higher hopes for The Cellar in regard to craft beer. The selection was pretty good with a lot of local craft beer. I feel like most craft beer stores sell single cans these days. There were a couple singles but I wanted to buy four to five different beers. With the local offering it's still pretty good. You just have to be ready to commit to a whole six pack.

A nice liquor store with a great selection of vermouth and amaro - unusual for a town this size. When we stopped there a few years back we purchased a new-to-us brand of Old Tom Gin. We returned hoping to find it again, but alas, it was not to be. The enthusiastic young clerk kept trying to convince us that "this is a good gin" or "this is a good gin". I had to tell her again that what we were looking for was a particular type of gin, Old Tom Gin. She was nice, but perhaps didn't understand what we had said. (They did not have any brand of Old Tom Gin.)

The food, ambience, and service were all quite good. I had the steak frites, with perfectly cooked steak (I like mine medium-rare) and nicely seasoned fries. The beers were cold and tasty, and the wine selection was good. We've gone back one other time, and were equally satisfied. Recommended for intimate dinners or small groups.

Incredibly cool wine selection, filled with hard-to-find varieties (who knew Ruche was a thing?), an impressive natural wine section, and some absolute steals on price. We were helped by an enthusiastic Dutch gentleman who knew all the wines intimately and was clearly enthused to help us find offerings we liked (and did so very successfully). Can't recommend enough.

Guys behind the counter were awesome and didn't push any products on me. Knowledgeable and helpful.There's a $9.99/bottle rack with some nice picks!Remarkable selection of wine with competitive pricing in the +$60/bottle range. Nice variety of vintages as well. Favorites include Martinelli Zinfandel, Merry Edwards Klopp Ranch Pinot, Heitz Cabernet. Strong showing in reds from California, Spain, and Italy.Beer selection is also decent.

Great selection of craft beer. Staff are knowledgable and friendly making it a good place to shop in.

Pretentious is the best word to describe this place. We have lived in Taos for a number of years and enjoy a liquor store that caries a variety of unusual products, this place does that. This is also where the positive experience stops. Good service is non existent. The staff never seems genuinely interested in helping make selections or suggestions, when you ask for help, they reluctantly point to a couple bottles while looking in the other direction. This attitude must come from the upper management since it continues with almost everyone we encounter, maybe this is a hobby store? It's too bad because it's next to one of the better grocery stores in town. We have a number of friends who also live here that don't go any longer, it does not feel local. I wonder how much better their business could be with better customer service.Too hip gotta go.

Bought a bottle of wine that had gone bad. Called to inform them so they could pull the other bottles if needed, and also get a refund for the bottle we got. It was fizzy, had gone bad and was totally undrinkable. They said they needed the bottle to be brought back, which we had thrown out. It's also a ridiculous request to have the customer drive the bad bottle back to the store. Wouldn't give a refund. Really a disappointing experience and won't be going back.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the service an selection is great! Appreciate a nice clean store and knowledgeable young people!! Especially the young man with the cowboy hat!!
