The Cedars Apartments

They need to fire the people that do parking enforcement it's a straight boot no warning. if you are not in town they will take off with it I even had a permit in the car I took a picture in the junkyard and they still took it honestly it's not worth it just for the parking enforcement. I've had two cars taken with no warning I've lived in 8 other apartment buildings this one is the worst.

I have been living here awhile. At first the office staff and maintenance was the worst (with the exception of the property manager, Andrea; who has consistently been wonderful)... But a few months ago they overhauled the staff and it has been an AMAZING transition. I love the employees. Andrea and Crystal are a fantastic team. They are very professional. They are friendly and attentive to all needs. Sometimes I just stop in to say hi because I enjoy them so much. They do fun things like donut day, pizza day, and different events that add value to the community. The property is clean and safe. The maintenance team is friendly and efficient. The pool has been great this summer. The workout room is clean and nice. I have nothing but praise for everyone that works here and highly recommend this place for apartment/town home living in Albuquerque. Great location and good people. Can't ask for much more than that!! Big thank you to the Cedars staff for all you do!

Don't expect to get your deposit back. The apartment was in perfectly good repair. Cleaner that the state it was given to me in. They refuse to do a move out walk through with the resident present - odd, every rental I've ever done has. I suppose this prevents you from protesting that they are keeping your deposit just because they want to.

Could not pick a worst place to live. The staff are unfriendly, they are never there during office hours. They leave early almost every single day. Maintenance requests take almost a month to be fulfilled. My car was broken into along with several neighbors and they have no security whatsoever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If I based my review on the new management, I would have given them 4 stars. But the last management was so bad, that the weighted average of my time here is about 2 stars. The new management seems fairly responsive (repairs take less than 5 separate calls to be addressed). They are also much friendlier, and better-looking than the last management. The fact that they are better-looking is mostly irrelevant, but credit where credit is due. Every apartment is going to have problems requiring interaction with management. Might as well interact with people who smile and dress appropriately.They still outsource their maintenance (to the best of my knowledge) so small problems have resulted in multiple unfamiliar individuals tromping through my home. The office hours are still garbage. How useful is it for an office to be open when most residents are at work? At least the new management adheres to the posted schedule. If I have to drive home on my lunch break to access the office, they better be there.

I lived in these apartments for 15 months. It started out great, the location was perfect, my apartment had been renovated and had all new carpeting and floors. However, as the months went on little by little things began to fall apart. The water in my shower was either ice cold, or scolding hot, there was no in between. The furnace only heated the living room and the pilot light went out constantly. The gates of the "gated community" were constantly broken, and last but not least the laundry room never had any working machines. I brought all these concerns up to "management" and they did nothing except for give me a piece of paper with my lease renewal on it, in which my rent was going up $75!!! Not to mention the girl at the front office most of the time was completely unprofessional and cared more about being on her phone then actually helping you with what you needed. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

I made the biggest mistake of my life deciding to live at this mess of a complex. The management team is 50% decent. That's because of the two women only Andrea is worth anything. The other woman Melissa is perhaps the most unprofessional, useless excuse for an employee I have ever had the misfortune to come across. She doesn't adhere to posted schedule at all. Dozens of times in my year there I would leave early from work hoping to catch her in the last hour the office should have been open only to find it already closed. Multiple break ins of my neighbors vehicles plague the area and managements response is to sweep up the glass and pretend it never happened. Honestly the apartments are not worth the price and I can honestly say if you simply try you will find something safer, cheaper, and a better value.

quiet, peaceful location right next to whole foods. large spacious rooms and fireplaces. the property is maintained very well with lots of green grass and an exceptional dog park. the staff is friendly and kind. very happy with our decision to choose the cedars.

Do not move here!! Looks are very deceiving with this place. From the outside it looks amazing but on the inside its infested with the biggest cockroaches I've ever seen in my life. And they say they pay for pest control but good luck getting them out to spray your apt. When they did come they said it was my fault I had not only cockroaches but black widow spiders and ants because I had a few dishes on the counter. Come on! Management and Maintenance were a NIGHTMARE!! My air condition was broken for 7 months in the summer time while I lived there. I complained constantly they always came out claimed they fixed it then it broke an hour later. And then when you called management was rude and dismissive. One time she came to my apt banging in the early morning like the police woke my months old baby up to tell me there was a mandatory inspection taking place in a few days. She was loud and rude and made me feel super uncomfortable. I took off of work for the supposed inspection and waited all day and no one showed up. When I called they told me it was over hours ago and rudely said it was random and j wasn't on the select list. So why did she come a few days earlier like a bat out of hell? I still have no idea!! A light fixture also fell off my ceiling one time and maintenance said it was put in wrong and was probably out that way to save the company money!! Please don't move here! Save your self $900 dollars and move else where. You definitely are not treated like you pay that much and it's not worth how they expect you to live.
