I can't think of many better community spots than a great local coffee shop. For me, The Brew is the definition of a community focused spot. I hang out there and I run into friends and beyond. It's one of the great spots that downtown has to offer for both delicious coffee and an amazing story. I personally am kind of a business nerd and I love their story. it's super family lead themed in Colombia to the coffee brewed here in Albuquerque. They keep their menu simple but it's because they're true to their roots. The service is always fast and friendly, and they are always playing some good bops.

Amtrak's southwest chief stopped in Albuquerque for an hour on my trip from LA to Chicago so I found this coffee shop near the train station. Beautiful artwork decorates the walls, providing an eclectic and welcoming vibe. I was greeted as soon as I got to the counter, and the service was prompt and friendly. Back on my train, I was happy to savor the cinnamon roll while we rolled out of the station. The frosting was quite sweet, but the roll nicely balanced it by being far less sweet. The roll was slightly dry which , surprisingly, I enjoyed, much as one enjoys a biscotti although far chewier than that.

Delicious breakfast downtown at The Brew. Today they had 3 different kinds of burritos to choose from, and we both chose the Bacon Green Chile. They are premade, and warmed up for you. Fluffy eggs, smoky bacon, hash browns, cheese and chile inside. The Red Chile mocha had a great balance of flavor, with rich chocolate and warmth from the chile. My cortado was small, yet mighty ~ they serve very well-crafted espresso drinks.

Occasionally on a Friday morning I try to depart from my routine, perhaps grab a cup of coffee and a pastry, maybe two (pastries). Any who, I stopped by The Brew, in the heart of downtown ABQ. I highly recommend the Aztec Latte, make it a triple shot, because why not. That canela and leche condensada is where it's at. There's plenty of freshly baked goodies to choose from. I went with the chocolate croissant because it was calling my name. This was crispy on the outside with the melted chocolate inside; paired well with the latte. Get out of the ordinary routine and hit this place up!

Passed by the coffee shop so many times not knowing what a hidden gem this place is. Located in downtown Albuquerque, parking can be tricky to find right up at the front. However, there is parking found nearby requiring some walking. Had their Aztec Latte and Busy Bee latte. The espresso flavor in both drinks was well-defined being bold with that roast component. Their sweet component did not overpower the drink but rather was a subtle aftertaste that balanced the drink. Neither drink was overly milky, which believe it or not frequently occurs in coffee shops. The baristas were professional and welcoming. The environment is colorful and lively with Latino-inspired painting and products.

This was such a lovely experience. The aesthetics of this place is very pleasing and gives off a a fresh atmosphere that's welcoming to all. They have music playing and target more towards the younger generation but welcoming to all ages and groups. From college students to professionals dpi by business are gathered in this coffee shop. Pastries are not overwhelming sweet and the perfect balance of fluff. The coffee was delicious in taste and texture was smooth. The service was speedy and staff was very friendly:

Red Chile Mocha was delish! I am not an avocado toast person, but this one was a large portion with hummus. Really nice touches. The pastries were just okay. I would skip those. I never thought I'd recommend avocado toast over a croissant, but here I am. I've tried the red Chile mocha at Flying Roadrunner in Old Town and I have to say the Brew's is a lot better. Really cool spot with street parking available. Free wifi inside and plenty of space to work.

Delicious coffee, friendly service, and a cute cute spot to stop and take a break. Parking is the only thing that makes this spot less than ideal.

It was a brewtiful morning in ABQ and my friend wanted to take me to her favorite coffee shop, The Brew. We parked on the street and walked into a charming, little cafe where we were immediately greeted. The Brew offers plenty of indoor seating and seems great for working or studying. I could definitely see planting myself at one of the tables with my laptop and working away while sipping on delicious coffee if I lived in ABQ.I was told the coffee is from Colombia, and all the signature lattes sounded very enticing. I asked the barista who may or may not also be the owner for a recommendation. I told her what flavors I like, and she recommended the Aztec latte, which is what I was hoping she would say! I ordered it hot with oat milk.I've always had a huge sweet tooth, and growing up, I loved licking condensed milk covered spatulas whenever my mom baked. I was expecting the drink to be overly sweet and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't! Had just the right amount of condensed milk to give it some sweetness without overpowering the other ingredients. Truly a delicious blend of espresso, sweet condensed milk, and cinnamon!
