Yum! The best pasta dishes and salmon in the area. Also, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back!

My fiance and I went here for our last dinner in Taos. This is a cute little quaint Fine dining restaurant located in One of the hotels walking distance from the Blake Hotel. Highly encourage making reservations as they can get busy pretty fast! We started off with the cheese plate and Caesar salad. I am big on Cheese plates and charcuterie boards and have had quite a variety, and this is probably the most disappointing cheese plate I've ever had in my life. Feel free to reference my photos, we essentially got four thinly sliced pieces of cheese cut into further smaller pieces. I was very disappointed, and an embarrassing plate to present - photo speaks for itself. Our server just got sat with 3 tables back to back so she didn't get the chance to check in with us regarding the apps. Although off to a bad start I was pleasantly surprised and happy with our main dishes! I ordered the Scottish salmon, the fish was nicely crisp on a bed of crispy rice surrounded by a tasty Vietnamese yellow curry. My fiance ordered the steak and fritz, he said his steak is slightly over cooked but overall very tasty and ate every bite. I think it was the manager or similar checked in with us regarding our meal to see how everything was, I explain to her my disappointment and the cheese plate, she appreciated the feedback and gave us a small discount.

Probably a good restaurant. I booked a table, we showed up on time , we were sat down and waited 40 minutes for someone to come and take our orders. Nobody came and nobody even made eye contact so that we could wave to them. Finally we just left. It wasn't even busy.

Great food and solid service in an area that has pretty much nothing to eat. Found the waitstaff here to be better than all other dining options in the valley. The others treated us like we had no other options, since we didn't. Service wasn't friendly, but here it was.

The Blonde Bear Tavern is a seasonal restaurant in Taos Ski Valley. The town itself closes early, but we found that Blonde Bear Tavern stays open until about 9:45/10pm (for drinks). Our first experience at Blonde Bear, we had a few drinks at the bar followed by a few rounds of pool in their game room (that also has a few TVs, a piano, and foosball). We returned a few days later to have dinner in their dining room (you can also dine at the bar). The food ranges from steaks, pastas, and fish. The portions are large - consider sharing a pasta plate or forgo the apps. And prices are more affordable than, let's say, 192 at The Blake. Also - order the espresso martini.

We were in Taos ski valley celebrating my husband's birthday. Granted we were here at the end of the season so food was not at its finest. When we entered the restaurant, it was very busy and loud at the bar which you had to pass through to get to the dining room. Not a bad thing if they had not been so rude to pass. We ordered the meatballs as a starter and they were fabulous. I totally recommend them. I had the manicotti as my main entrée and it came to the table burnt and dried out. Not sure why since it wasn't busy when we arrived. My husbands dinner was good, forgot what he ordered but it was ok he said. A lady sat next table and ordered the filet, wow did that look amazing and I wished I had ordered it. Another table of 5 sat next to us, they ordered the manicotti and spaghetti and it looked delicious! No burnt signs and plenty of sauce! We were both in shock! We don't like to complain, but on this trip it look like it was just not our night. We enjoyed our drinks and left. Hopefully if we go again it's better. Btw, the server was so nice and apologetic, obviously not her fault. I really wished I had taken pictures...my bad.

Classy, casual ambiance with good food and cocktails! We shared a bunch of things, but my personal favorite was the French 75 with Honey Ricotta Bruschetta. Also enjoyed the Filet Mignon and Meatballs. Only disappointing menu item was the Rigatoni Carbonara. Waaaaay too salty and not creamy at all. Maybe try house made linguine with a better executed sauce? Other than that, everything was spot on!

Nice little bar /restaurant the Edelweiss. They have a 10 seat bar plus seating area near fireplace. They have a pool table and foosball table. No happy hour specials but a good drink menu. They offer a nice appetizer menu and a good dinner menu. Friendly staff & bartender. They handled our group of 20 no problem. Reservations are recommended for restaurant seating

Small dining space in bar area at lobby of Edelweiss Lodge. We shared caesar salad, followed by ziti and cavatelli. All were delicious. Good portion size. Cavatelli is homemade.
