The Aspens Apartments

I've lived at The Aspens for 3+ years now and maintenance has much improved since COVID.The office is great about notifying me when I have packages to pick up.For the most part, I've been treated with kindness and respect.

I have been a resident since September 2024 (under two months). The apartment itself is spacious, updated and comfortable. This past week, I experienced a home invasion by an unknown man in the middle of the afternoon. The man broke in through the front door by force (although he was only around 5'5" and skinny build). When I arrived home at 4:50 pm, my lock was jammed and When I opened my door with some force, said man popped out and was unclothed and the shower was running. After meeting face to face with him, I urgently left and called the police at 4:52 pm. The responder stayed on the phone and a police officer did not show up until 6:00 pm. My partner showed up to support me and went to check on my apartment during this time. She found the unknown man in my son's bed masturbating. This detail was particularly disturbing and violating. Other materials left in my bedroom were a drug pipe and butane can. The next day I spoke with management to request a move to a different unit or to break my lease without the early move out fees due to this man specifically requesting and knowing about my apartment, being in there for over two hours, using drugs and violating my space in my child's personal property. Management informedMe that that they saw this man on the property and asked him to leave when a concerned neighbor saw him walking around that area, asking for my specific apartment number and walking strangely through the bushes. Management denied my request to break my lease without the fees (full months rent plus paying back concession) and added on that I would need to give a thirty day notice before I could end my lease. This whole situation has been traumatic. I went to management urging them to have compassion and respond with care to me and my young child. They offered to have me live in a neighboring apartment owned by the same owner at the Aspens without transfer fees. While I originally considered accepting this, I will not. I do not feel valued, cared for or protected by this apartment owner/staff/security. I am sharing in hopes that others are aware and stay informed while they are considering this apartment complex for a home.

Super unprofessional lack of empathy you'd figure you get more empathy from. Such low income employees they tend to be more understanding and a tad nicer. But none of that. My 5 year old had an allergic traction to the bathtub bc it got resurfaced, and they painted it with paint that has latex. I had to use her 500 epi pen because she went into anaphylaxis shock. 1st day, her allergic reaction and faucet in her bathroom is dripping a large amount of water..2nd week, the microwave stops working day after that, I try to use the oven, and nope, it doesn't work. Day after that, the washer starts to actively flood water. They did send a cleaning lady to clean the bathtub, but that didn't work. I broke into red spots and hives. The pictures below are me still red and swollen after 1 hour of me taking a shower, not a bath. I explained to them that the bathtub still has paint flakes coming off of it. It needs to be resurfaced. Don't waste your money. The apartment complex looks clean, and I don't mind things being old and used, but they have to be functional. Their not. One of my neighbors stated they have been without a functioning AC since June. Yikes. Oh, and they ignore your text messages, so yeah, avoid yourselves the hassle and headache go somewhere else.

The management team has taken the time to reach out to address concerns. Although we would feel safer with a barrier surrounding the property, we appreciate the managements efforts implementing other security measures.

I moved in September 2022 with a broken refrigerator the freezer kept freezing up maintenance was called a multiple times. Finally on April 5, 2023 I received a text message from The​resa stating a refrigerator would be ordered and would take two weeks then I would be contacted once received to make arrangements. I called the office exactly 2 weeks later for an update to see if the refrigerator was received the lady informed me that the maintenance were going to be delivering the refrigerator on Thursday and​ Friday that week. No one came and no one called so I contacted the office on April 24, 2023 for an another update and spoke with Alexis she stated there was no refrigerator and Theresa was not available. I went into the office later that day to see if I could speak with Theresa about my issues however that did not happen another person spoke directly with Teresa about my concerns and was told they will contact the vendor regarding the refrigerator. The maintenance team are amazing and professional but they can't do their job until they get approval from the office. Even though it is taking forever to get a working fridge the location is great, community is clean and quiet!

I lived in the Aspens apartments for 5 years, moved out for 3 years and moved back in October of 2023. This has become a terrible place to live. My fridge leaks water inside, my dishwasher doesn't drain, my dryer doesn't dry my clothes. Parking is a nightmare, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Your car will get broken into and/or stolen. The "Courtesy Patrol" will do nothing but boot your car. They say it's to keep parking available for tenants but it's just a money grab. The tag and boot says it's from Auto Shackles LLC, which is a scam company. The office said they don't know who this company is, but then they said "oh yeah that's Enchantment Towing". The office staff is probably in on the boot scam. They will make up rules and regulations just to charge you fees.

I don't really know much about The Aspens, but I think that picture is spectacular with all the orange and green colors. It certainly makes me want to find out more about these apartments.

I guess no pool this summer, half ass maintenance, and expensive rent 0/10. For as much as you pay here, you should expect to have a pool for the whole summer and not just 2 weeks. The gym is 1000 degrees. Parking is ass, do yourself a favor and keep looking!!

Complete false advertisement abount 24 hour gym access. The staff locks the entire side door you are supposed to go in and your key does not work on the top lock to get into the gym on the weekends. The parking is completely horrendous with constant predatory trucks patrolling the lot, maintenance on anything takes forever to get completed with multiple calls for any problem to get patched up, not fixed entirely requiring the same phone call to be made a few weeks later. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to think about renting from and save yourself the time, money, and hassle of dealing with people who obviously do not care about you outside of your wallet.

Do not go rent over there they denied me for renting an apartment because supposedly they were treated with harassment and I was disrespectful to them and I wasn't I was just wanting to make sure on what I needed for my Application. A little did I know they used me for my money I'm going to see them in the count room very soon and make them shut down for good. Or get a set of staff members or a new District manager. No one should be denied for an apartment NOW FUCKEN MATTER FUCK YOU LADYIES THAT WORK GO TO FUCKEN HELL AND DIE TREUT ME ILL BE BACK FOR MY MOENY. By the way no stars neededSo as a result, these people are going to regret it for sure !!!!!! Go to those workers do you hear me I will return hopefully Tuesday with a letter from the count room and see you guys in count
