Thai Vegan

I can't believe I've never written a review of this place before. It is one of my favorites. It's hidden a bit off the beaten path and the entrance might not be obvious, they had an interesting setup for to-go during the pandemic and some of that is still there. But if you want good Thai food, even if you're not vegan you have to check this place out. They have the variety of fake meats - I confess fake fish and shrimp are my favorites. The dishes are all amazing. The pad thai is always my go-to and I have a hard time trying other things but every time I have, I've been very glad I did.The thai iced tea is also incredible. The staff has always been very friendly and happy to give you time with the menu or provide recommendations. Portions are quite large and end up being multiple meals for me. If you like Thai food you really have to give this place a try and don't let the fact that 'vegan' is in the name deter you if you're a meat eater!!

My friends they are not vegan but they say this place is good, also I am not vegan either.We ordered vegetables tempura and golden tofu for appetizers, and I ordered Pad Thai ! Whoa! Came with salad and spring rolls. Pretty good volume. My friends want me to try Thai tea, that tea was too sweet for me. However everything was so delicious. ( I think I forgot to take pictures :( )

Thai Vegan is great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, with warm lighting and fun wall colors. The staff is nice too.Food-wise, it's amazing to have an entire vegan Thai menu with multiple protein choices and no need to worry about fish oil or sauce hidden in any of the dishes.They have good curry, appetizers, fried chick'n and orange chick'n, larb salad which I don't think I've found vegetarian anywhere else, or maybe once, American dishes as well, good tofu, and more. I like the red rice that they put in a heart shape. The mango with sticky rice is yummy. I'm not a big fan of the pepper steak due to its lacking of flavor and tough texture, or some of the seafood, but it's great to have all the vegan protein options.

Highly recommend! Great service and cute place. My son and I shared the tofu satay appetizer, he had the pad thai and I had the green curry, both off the dinner combination menu. Delicious! I'll definitely visit again when I'm in Albuquerque.

Thai Vegan was delicious and one of the best vegan places in Albuquerque. But also, it happens to be one of the best Thai places I've had in Albuquerque. We were surprised we hadn't had this place before but it's tucked away and a bit hidden off of the main road. There's not too much seating but we had no trouble getting seating for a group of 6 right away at dinner time!

I somehow let a group of vegans convince me to try this food out. They said it was "amazing" and "out of this world"...and honestly...anything that is fried is going to taste good. Literally everything they ordered for the table was fried. I might as well have gone to Popeyes. So...I mean....do I want fried tofu chicken or a double cheeseburger? I'm gonna go with the double cheeseburger.Food was good, but again - everything was fried. If you've ever been to Green Elephant in Portland, ME then that is what I would consider to be the best vegan/vegetarian food, but I am no connoisseur. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian.

Lively interior. Staff is kind. Dining room is a bit cramped. Menu is abundant and provides a wide variety of options to vegans. Red curry was okay. Tons and tons of vegetables (I subbed veggies instead of tofu or the other mock protein options). The carrots were extra delicious and sweet. The curry itself was a bit more on the savory side which I why I call it okay vs great. The consistency was on the thicker side which my palate prefers. Side salad was fair, nothing special. Bathroom needed some serious attention. TP missing, sink faucet isn't oriented for correct operation. Paper towels empty. Wait time was acceptable. IMO, prices are a bit high for some items.Didn't depart planning a return asap, but would consider it again and try something else.

Thai Vegan is truly a vegan-only spot. I hadn't been here in 10+ years, but it has been in this shopping center since I can remember. One downside is that the portions can be so large that when taking them home, the soy protein doesn't reheat well and becomes rubbery (I learned the hard way with reheating my Tom Kah Kai). My partner and I came here, and he only got some appetizers as he doesn't like soy-based plant meat, so our choice of food was not a great spot for us. My soup was good, the service was fast, and the restaurant was full of fun decor.

After ordering take away the last half dozen times, we finally decided to dine in. And as good as I thought their food was after sitting in an Uber-eats delivery vehicle for 15-20 minutes, it's even better fresh from the kitchen. I continue to be impressed with the quality of their vegan "meat." It brings substance, flavor, texture and protein to the dish. This time I ordered a large noodle dish. The noodles were perfectly cooked and well coated with sauce. The veggies were properly stir fried--cooked and crisp at the same time. The food is quite spicy but the heat did not overpower the rest of the ingredients. A quick squeeze of lime added some acid to cut the richness and brighten the overall flavor. I'm in town for a month--so I'll be back!

Tasty lunch here today. Nothing to write home about but very well-made and tasty.The decor in the space is playful and charming, and the service was excellent.
