Tender Fire

I love wood fired oven pizza and Tender Fire does gourmet sourdough pies that are personal sized at 12" each. They are currently operating in the parking lot of El Rey Court so the pizza oven is outdoors and everything is made to order. For 2 pizzas and a shrub, it was $47 including tax and tip. Bring a hat and wear some sunscreen because we waited about 10 minutes in line and another 20-25 minutes for our order to be ready. There's some shady and grassy areas, but this a pet friendly hotel so be careful where you sit.I tried a pineapple shrub to drink which is made of vinegar and sugar. It reminded me of kombucha because of the funkiness from all the vinegar. Not my favorite, but that's just my preference and it was worth a try. For food, we went with the Gosar which had Italian sausage and red onion. The toppings were mostly in the center of the pizza so the dough in the center was a bit underdone. The flavor was still pretty good but I wish that the toppings were more evenly distributed. My favorite pizza was the Date which had pepperoni, mozzarella and dates. This one was cooked perfectly but with less toppings.

Excellent pizza and steak! plus awesome service and atmosphere!!! Chowed down on Tender Fire menu and loved every bite. Regardless of the location, El Rey, La Mama, Patrick Smith park; seems like the right place to enjoy the best pizza I have ever tasted. The Gozar with extra sausage and extra cheese is my go to decision. However, also down for their NY steak when it is available. I look forward to the spring so I can start enjoying Tender Fire once again.

I love everything about Tender Fire... the best pizza I've ever had, HANDS DOWN, and the only pizza I've ever had that didn't make me feel guilty afterwards! All the ingredients are fresh from the farm and chemical free, and the dough is fermented sourdough which is great for the gut! The setting is lovely beneath the trees at El Rey Court and the staff are sweet and adorable. Thank you Tender Fire for being such a positive addition to the community

The best pizza in all of the land!Amazing ingredients and a superb super friendly staff. The care that is put into the pizza is palpable. This place saved my friends and I in the summer of 2020 when we became some of the first customers and it's been a weekly night of ours ever since!

Friends recommended we try Tender Fire while in Santa Fe. It's set in the center of a unique and historic Santa Fe motel courtyard. There is a wood fire pizza oven and with a staff who tends First of all, I want to say that the entire online ordering process is smooth and once we established our order time for pick, we waited just a few minutes and were served our delicious pizza! My friend Carol and I were impressed with the quality of service, professionalism, and friendliness of the Tender Fire staff. We had the Gosar and Marquarita pizzas and were blown away by the taste of the sausage (spicy and some not so spicy). The mozzarella was fresh. The ingredients for the Marquarita pizza were fresh and the sauce had just the right amount of spices. Once we return Santa Fe we will order again and again!

The owner of Tender Fire has only the very best intentions and everything starts with intention. Thoughtful staff, fresh, fresh ingredients, nice/fun atmoshere. It's amazing to us how many folks can't make a pizza right! I cannot WAIT for the day that Tender Fire is accessible via a brick and mortar location. Hands down, the best wood-fired pizza in Santa Fe.The crust is great, they use amazingly fresh ingredients, portions are perfect, and the people are down to earth. They also offer different fresh salads that are creative and delicious.TRY THEM - you will fall in love too.

Excellent hand made pizza with tasty sour dough crust. All ingredients are local and fresh. Usually at El Rey Court with a nice courtyard and good drinks.

We ordered at 5:30 pm got our pizzas at 7:15pm after being told that our order would be ready at 6:45. Went to check in at 6:45pm and they said they were JUST making our pizza also they said to give it another 10 min (We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 margharita, 1 pepperoni & 1 sausage.) My partner who ordered the sausage just threw up whole sausage and red onion (1:50 am) and spent $71.76 on three pizzas that were under cooked and could've caused salmonella poisoning. I ordered the margharita pizza and just the top of the cheese was melted, the rest was whole. Very disappointing pizza and would not recommend if you're wanting to enjoy with friends. You're better off ordering Il Vicino and having a salad as you wait for your food. It was a JOKE to wait for almost 2 hours@Owners, no I don't want a voucher, I want my food poisoned partner to get a refund.Margherita Pizzas
