TEC PRO Auto Care

There are so many mechanics that are untrustworthy these days. Tec Pro is one mechanic that is trustworthy. Dudley found all the problems with my vehicle and fixed them for a good price. They diagnosed my vehicle and called me before starting any work. I'm definitely going back for maintenance and any future problems. Tec Pro does it right and doesn't just throw parts and money at problems.

I have been a Tec Pro Auto Care customer for 10 years and always received excellent customer service from Dudley until my last visit. I had my car towed to Tec Pro on November 24, 2023, and picked it up on December 2, 2023. When I arrived at Dudley's shop on December 2, he greeted me and told me my car wasn't cooperating. He said he replaced the ignition switch and the car ran fine but all the warning lights on the instrument cluster were on and did not turn off after the engine started. He couldn't explain why the lights wouldn't turn off and said I could take the car and he would research the problem and call me with a possible solution on Tuesday, December 5th. I asked him if he had pressed the reset button located in the fuse box and told he me that he had not thought about doing that. We went to where my car was parked and I started the engine and he pressed the reset button. All of the warning lights went off. I was surprised by his failure to do this something I would have expected a master technician to have done before my arrival. He looked at the instrument cluster after the warning lights turned off and said, your odometer isn't working and is showing an "error" message. He told me to take the car since everything else was working and he would do research to try to find out what could be causing the error message and would call me on Tuesday, December 5, with a possible solution. I did not hear from him on Tuesday so I called him and got his voicemail. I identified myself and the issue with my odometer and requested a callback. I did not receive a callback on Tuesday so I called him on Wednesday and requested a callback on his voicemail. He did not call on Wednesday so I left another message on voicemail on Thursday and as of today December 11, 2023, Dudley has not had the courtesy or decency to return my voicemails but gladly took my $826.76 payment. Thank you, Dudley! Now I'm left with a nonworking odometer that worked before taking it to Tec Pro Auto Care. I believe that the ignition switch was improperly installed or something was damaged when the old ignition switch was removed. Now Dudley is hiding out ignoring my calls and voicemail hoping I will go away. I will go away and take my business elsewhere and not recommend Tec Pro Auto Care to anyone else! This issue could have been mitigated if Dudley had called me like he said he would! Now I have a car with a nonworking odometer that is going to cause me a problem when I sell or trade the car because there won't be a record of the actual mileage. Thanks, Dudley! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TEC PRO AUTO CARE!
