Nice spacious dog park! Could use some work in the poop clean up but over really great. There's a large dog and small dog section with plenty of balls around! They also have a water section with a kid pool. Nor for drinking than playing. My pup loved it!

Love the dog park. Plenty of room to run and friendly dogs and people. We are from out of town, this was a nice place to relax with our dig

If there's a review I'd never, ever write, it's this one. I've never been a dog person, and my cats were PISSED when I reluctantly introduced Ivy, a medium-sized hound, to our house. We wanted a friend for our daughter, who's basically an only child. During the two weeks we had Ivy (she didn't work out, won't bore ya with details), we visited this park regularly -- big dogs have a ton of energy, and our small backyard wasn't a good cardio option. My impression of dog parks: you're kinda stuck with what you have, from a dog and, more importantly, owner standpoint. Some folks just suck at the canine parental thing, and dog parks give them a reason to a) feel better about their negligence and b) stare at their phones. As one reviewer points out, the early morning crowd (7-9am) seems to be the best subset of the Taylor Ranch doggie community, I met them one morning, nice group. After 5pm, there's an entirely different crowd and, honestly, I noted a lot of neglected dogs, bad behavior, indifferent owners.Otherwise, the park is fine, a long strip of wood chipped land, stocked with bags and some running water, with a special area for the smaller breeds. And while it would be nice to see some grass around here, I must query, have you tried growing turf in New Mexico? A Herculean task unto itself, imagine letting a horde of dogs in on that effort. Wood chips work.

We go to a bar to sit, socialize and drink a few brews with friends and we bring our pup to the dog park to socialize with his friends. Although this park is really just wood chips and dirt, it's close and there is always plenty of dogs in the evenings for Zeus to get out and socialize. I do notice lots of owners done pick up after their dogs so watch where you step!

I've been to quite a few dog parks during my time as a fur-mama. This one... isn't my fav (I'm not a fan of the no-grass thing) but it's close to my house, pretty big and there are always at least a couple of dogs so my pups are happy.I do wish they had grass though. The first time I ever came here was approximately a year ago and it was around noon on a weekday so as expected, there weren't many dogs and I remember seeing a ton of red ants. From then on, I started going to the dog park over by the zoo... but then I came back here and didn't see anymore red ants and I've been coming here ever since. Not too bad, plenty of seating, and parking.

Let me tell you why I love this park so much....the Mon-Fri 7am-9am group of dogs & their owners are one-of-a-kind-wonderful in every way. There are other cool dog parks around town, but this one has a looooooooooooong area for my dog to run and run and run and run. The wood chips don't bother me, or my dog, and I seriously look forward to my morning visits to hang with "the crew" - Just an exceptional group of people with amazing dogs who love to play with other dogs. They run each other out, wrestle each other to oblivion, and it's just completely made the whole experience for me. It's great to be around people who "get" dogs, and don't feel any anxiety about letting their dogs be dogs with other dogs. They look out for each other, and each other's dogs. And while I'm raving about the crowd more than the details of the park itself, it's just because it really seals the deal for me. They are regulars every day all year long and this is their stompin' grounds. Happy to be a part of it. It would be nice if the city left the water on a little longer, but other than that, I see staff replacing trash bags daily, and bringing in fresh wood chips often enough.

Not enjoyable, would not come back. I'm just not a fan of dirt filled dog parks and wood pellets are always an issue. There were also some aggressive dogs when we were there and there were multiple dog fights during the 30 minute visit we were there. The water wasn't working, no bowls out, and basically no where to sit unless you went outside the fence.

Because I live so close to the Taylor Ranch dog park, this is the only one that I've been to! It's in nice location, near the TR library, and the TR park, and there are always tons of people around and children playing soccer on the fields. This makes the park feel very safe. About a year ago, they put in a walking path through the dog park, so you don't have to be walking on the bark that is laid throughout. This was a nice addition. There are covered benches to sit on, water for the dogs, and of course doggy clean up bags. On weeknights, in the summer, there is even a food truck that sits outside the park selling either snow cones, roasted nuts or some other yummy snack--which makes this an added bonus! Check it out :)

Good size dog park but short on variety. It's mostly a huge, rectangular area covered in wood chip. There is a separate area for dogs under 25 lbs. but most dogs in all sizes are in the main area. There are courtesy poop bag stations and trash cans as well as a water spout for public use.
