Taos Mountain Candles Gallery

Thank you for climbing into the window display for only item left in the store- very kind and I turkey appreciate it.

Odd little shop with a sign out front that says "Candles and salsa shop" but there weren't many candles and there was only one small table of salsa. Not that those were things I was interested in, but I'm all about honesty in labels.Inside, a varied collection of trinkets and tchochkies as well as a few clothing items. Prices ranged from moderate to a little high.Certainly worth a look though.

Walked in excited to see a lot of options of gifts and clothing. But then was immediately put off by the woman working. She never smiled and seemed very angry to be there or have us walk in. I normally don't judge a store by the employee, I'm there for the items to possibly buy. Two older women came in and I heard the employee tell them very curtly "we close in 10 min". I looked at the time and it was 5:35 pm. So the store closes at 5:45? Weird. Then the women asked her questions about prices of things. Overhearing how rude she was to them, I took my daughter and left. My husband heard her outside as she moved racks inside, complaining to herself about the women. I will never give my money to an establishment that talks to customers so rudely. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe her life is not going so great. But no excuse to talk to others so horribly.

This place rocks!! I bought a t-shirt for my grandson while vacationing in New Mexico. When I got home to Ohio and removed a "Glow in the Dark" sticker from the front, I discovered three small holes in the shirt. I called the store to see if I could get a replacement shirt. The manager (I think her name was Cindy) called me back and after she verified the info, mailed me a new shirt. It arrived very quickly and my grandson was very happy!! That's what I call outstanding customer service!

The lady working there on Monday evening 10/1/18 was SO rude. We walked in (didn't realize they closed in 15 mins) She rolled her eyes, sighed and ran to the door to shut it. She said "I can't even focus" We asked her if they were closed and she said "I'm cashing out and can't concentrate" All while huffing and puffing. We turned around and will never go back. Terrible! Awful!
