Talbott Auctions contracted with us to sell our mother's furniture & household goods this summer, but kept pushing back the date of the estate sale from mid-summer to August, then November and then finally told us they wouldn't sell any of the items that we put in storage while waiting for the estate sale. Nice of them to let us know... Meanwhile we were paying for the storage facility, in reliance on the contract with Talbott. Oh, and they are rude & unprofessional. #NeverTalbottAuctions.

Was hoping and was told that my Mom's estate would be able to be sold and her furniture moved over to Talbott Auction's storefront in Corrales around the middle of October. I originally signed the contract in June, and was not told that I would have to wait months, incurring storage fees for the estate during the time. I had to move everything out of my Mother's house in late July because the gated community where she previously lived, Tanoan, did not allow estate sales. I was sent an abrupt text message a few days ago informing me that for unknown reasons, Talbott Auctions would not be able to handle the estate sale. This was quite a shock, since I was looking forward to liquidating the estate and closing the book on my Mom's move and relocation into a retirement home. I had previously brought to their storefront 10 heavy boxes of books that I had hoped would be included in the estate sale. I was told that I needed to provide an address where they could be delivered. Now the boxes are sitting on my front porch and I am not sure where to store them, since all of my garage space is taken up. This is very disappointing to me and my three siblings since we have virtually no time to deal with this because of busy work and family schedules. I am sorry that I didn't do more research about alternate estate sale companies/consignment stores.
