Tacos El Tapatio

Stopped by the area around 9:45 on a Thursday night and they were nowhere to be found even though they are supposed to be there until 11. Didn't answer the phone. To be honest I don't think food trucks should be on Yelp for this reason - their location and hours vary. I wish I could remove them from the search because there are so many! I'm giving them two stars because when I tried them years ago the food was good. It's just frustrating to see location and hours that are false!

Barbacoa....damn good. Elote in a cup....delish. $11 for 4 tacos? Not nice. These are the typical street tacos you'd get in Baja California/Tijuana. The tortillas they use are so flavorful and compliment the barbacoa very well. A little uneven on the onion/cilantro mix. Super cilantro heavy. Will I go back? F'Kin right I will. They could hit me for $3 a taco and I'd probably still go back lolLess cilantro and a more reasonably priced taco plate would have grabbed the 5th star

Tacos and quesadillas are bomb and never miss! They moved to a new location! Carlisle and Aztec!

This spot was across from our apartment & recently had to move location. ENTIRELY worth the extra couple minutes of a drive down Carlisle though. These tacos have always been consistently great & the service is genuinely sweet.

Sheesh these were good, got the pastor, barbacoa, asada, birria, and cabeza tacos. I cannot give enough praises to the barbacoa and cabeza, juicy and addicting. I had to get more of those, the rest of the kinds I got were alright as well but you might wanna pass on the pastor. The lady working the truck was very nice, and asked if I enjoyed the tacos when I went back to get seconds. Yes I very much enjoyed them!

The food is delicious and the people are lovely!! I came across them my first night in town, it was a wonderful treat! I'm looking forward trying the rest of the menu!

The food at this food truck is the best. It's in a great spot right at Montgomery and Carlisle. Order ahead of time. Remember it's cash only. Enjoy!!

Highly recommend this place!!!! We were on a road trip from Alabama to Utah and stopped in Albuquerque for the night. We wanted something tasty but affordable and we both got the 4 taco plate. I can't recommend the barbacoa and carne asada enough!! The two individuals working the truck were very gracious, and efficient. As a Southern California native it is hard to find true authentic Mexican street tacos, but these are the real thing! They tasted great, very generous portions, and only $11 for 4 tacos!Will definitely stop by the next time we come through Albuquerque again!

Overall the food was okay. The service was great, but food was a bit expensive for the taste being mid. The sodas were also flat so that was a bummer.

I liked the barbacoa tacos but the adobada was a miss for me. I wouldn't recommend getting the sodas because they were flat and one of my friends was is expired since 2017.
