Taco Santo

I'm sitting here right now and Yelpers need to chill out... good lord give a new business a chance! This place is 5 star all the way.Flew in from LA, asked my hotel shuttle driver where I should eat if I had one meal. Rafael said there were too many options but he named Taco Santo immediately - likely due to the fact it's a 3 minute walk from the hotel but lord, the man did me a solid. I even explained that I was flying in from LA and therefore had high standards for Mexican foods/tacos, etc, and he stood by his choice.To drink:Santo margarita -- one and I was done, lol.To eat - from the selection of tacos:Chicken al pastor --- 12/10, it is spicy and it burns in the best wayKorean short rib - tender tender tender Brussels sprout - sweet and smoky I was just thinking that the last time I'd received genuinely nice service was when I was in Greece, when I was presented with a free dessert in the form of their lime tart - uhm, yes. You know when the last time I got great service AND free dessert? Greece.Ugh, what a great start to my weekend in Albuquerque, thank you!!!

One of the best restaurants in Albuquerque! Amazing food and staff. Everything is amazing, my wife and I have tried the entire menu, and nothing is lacking in taste or presentation.

This place was great! Had a few margaritas and tacos and everything was delicious. Staff was attentive and friendly. Little loud inside so it was kind of hard to hear my table talk to each other. But overall I would come again.

Went on Saturday, it was packed, but found a seat. The game was on, drinks were being made, and all the food looked delicious. It's a cool place, will miss the burgers but happy they found a new concept. I recommend the Bahn Mi Taco and the Short rib taco! Grab some chips and queso while you wait.

We went there on Friday evening, about 7:30. Busy but not slammed. Service started out friendly, but the server forgot to put in one of our orders. Seriously. There were three of us, we ordered two tacos each and she forgot to put one order in. And though she apologized when it was brought to her attention, she did not offer anything. Then the tacos that came late had obviously been rushed, as the tortillas were cold and stiff.We had to ask for water, for refills, she did not offer anything. When we finished, after sitting for more than 10 minutes I went and asked her for our check, like she had just forgotten us. Terrible.The tacos were really good, but we won't be going back due to the neglectful, rude service.

Tacos were really good and creative. Drinks were beautiful and tasted great. Bowls were delicious and filling!

The ambience is refreshingly informal; the service is good; and the food is delicious and uniquely and meticulously prepared: a worthy successor to a fantastic place, Holy Burger. Fr Harold L. Trott, SSC
