T J's New Mexican Restaurant

Have eaten here several times in the last few months. The food is always good, and servings are plentiful. LOVE their large sopapillas, too.

I've been passing by this place for years and it's always packed. It was no different this morning but I was determined to finally eat here. This restaurant is owned by the same people who own Rutilios here in Los Lunas. There are several similarities between the two restaurants. The CFS here is a little smaller but not much smaller. It is still as large as a pancake and delicious. The eggs were scrambled and fluffy. The hash browns were delicious. I also had a pancake and that was very good. Now I know why this place is always so packed when I pass by, it's almost exactly like Rutilios, which is my favorite restaurant in Los Lunas. You can't go wrong here. The service here was also excellent and friendly. I'd eat here any day of the week. Two thumbs up from me. Definitely a must visit restaurant...

The service was good. They were short-handed, so we didn't expect much. Poor server brought me a cup of water with a long hair in it. Ewww. So gross, but not the end of the world. The food was good. The served rolled enchiladas which I wasn't expecting for a true New Mexican restaurant. That was disappointing. I was glad there was some flavor to the green chile. I need a little kick. The ambiance doesn't really have a wow factor at all. They seated us in the back which is a room with a television and your average cheap diner tables. They don't serve chips and salsa, so maybe that's part of what brought the whole feel down a notch. I'd go back for sure, but I'll try to find another place that serves chips and salsa since that's a big deal to me.

Nice atmosphere with good food and great service. We got the combo with green chili sauce. It was very good. My wife got huevos rancheros with green chili sauce. Very good.

This was our first time at Tj's. The red and green Chile were great! They both had a great flavor and spice. The menudo was also very flavorful!

Food is delicious here. Had huevos rancheros and they did not disappoint. Red Chile is spicy but flavorful. Friendly environment. Price is fair. Must try.

Great food. Great service. The only green chili I found that I liked. I'm not a local and do care for green chili, but the waitress talked me into trying it. I glad I did.

TJ is used to be our go to breakfast place in Los Lunas. It's hard to believe how different it is now. The service was very slow but the food was adequate. The biggest change from now in the former owners seems to be a lack of genuine care for the customer experience. Rudimentary items like offering refills checking to see if you need anything else we're never done. We will not be back.

Always great food and great service. Kelsey is such a great waitress. she is attentive and very friendly. We love her. Really good chile.
