As a Celiac it's so difficult to eat gluten-free. Even red and green chili sauces in New Mexico tend to be made with a gluten roux at many restaurants. Luckily, I found some random blogger who mentioned this restaurant as being 100% gluten-free. It was the first stop my husband and I made when we arrived in Santa Fe. The menu for lunch is a bit eclectic - japchae, Buddha bowls, bison burgers and quinoa cakes. I was really hoping for all the New Mexican foods I wanted to try but couldn't at other restaurants. I was able to order the stacked chicken enchiladas ($18) which were chicken, jack and cheddar cheese, sour cream and red or green chili wrapped in blue corn tortillas with black beans and green rice. I like it a lot. My husband and I shared an $8 bowl of turkey tortilla soup, but it was the consistency of queso dip. My husband kept sneaking bites of it so finally I told him that he could have it. He ordered the huevos rancheros on blue corn tortillas for $15. We shared an $8 slice of tres leches cake. Service was fine and the ambiance is like a little cafe. They did have some sort of what I assumed was a Hindu guru. I'm wondering if it's related to the eclectic menu choices? Not sure but I'd definitely return.Visited October 2024

This restaurant has such a zen unique vibe. It's a great spot for a date. They have a different lunch vs dinner menu. My coconut chickpea curry wasn't described well by the server or menu - I wasn't able to eat it because it tasted like vinegar. The salmon tacos were yummy though. I would come back to try something different. They seem to use quality ingredients and super cute inside.

I've loved the Hunter's Chicken though I've become vegetarian again. I wanted to sit down to a delightful meal as I've done here before. I was not disappointed! The menu offerings are reliable so I took a chance and wow! I am still remembering how great my vegetarian meal was. I ordered the soup of the day, beet soup. I should have ordered a bowl and taken the rest home for later but I ordered the cup. I've never tasted a beet soup so delicious! I ordered the Chile Relleno for my entree! Holy moly!!! Not fried, not battered and not ladened in oil. The creamy cashew cheese... My server made sure all was well without being annoying. The clean and simplistic ambiance is perfect.

My allergies are wheat dairy gluten and soy and I came here with a friend who goes here all the time. I got the japchae noodles which were so good. I'm on a restricted diet in a way the server was really knowledgeable. For dessert I got the berry pie and my dad got the special alertinative chocolate cake.

Saturday night dinner! Grabbed a reservation for 2. I've now learned that reservations for any hot spot in Santa Fe is definitely needed! We had the stuffed mushroom app, Korean glass noodle dish, along with the bison burger, and banana cream pie for dessert. Everything was tasty. I really enjoyed the mushrooms - you get a good amount. The burger seemed a bit dry to me (even though we ordered medium rare), but maybe this is typical for bison? I'm not sure since I haven't had it many times. The space was light and airy with high ceilings. I anticipate it's even nicer during the day. Recommend if you are in the mood for a variety of choices with healthy and veggie forward options!

We had awesome service from Marvin! He was very helpful. For people allergic to soy and/or are gluten intolerant, this place can accomodate you. Please note that the menu has few options, but the food is good and you can have options and options are always good!

Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen (SWHK) is located in a light industrial business park called Pacheco Park in Santa Fe. This is from a visit on Oct 27, 2023. A local favorite, walked in to a warm welcoming, cozy, country decor w/humming dining room inside and some seating outside. Would suggest reservations for this place but was very lucky to get seated on the enclosed shady, comfy patio in less than 10 minutes. Water and coffees all around. Their menu has vegetarian, vegan, paleo and gluten-free offerings with a New Mexican flavor. Ordered:HUEVOS RANCHEROS, a vegetarian dish of 2 eggs over easy, blue corn tortillas, black beans, drizzled cheese, sour cream with the famous green Chile sauce. I was bad and ordered a side of their house-made sausage and had to stopped myself from ordering more. Honestly have never had Huevos Rancheros before but this was awesome dish of yumminess that hit the spot! My new favorite - YUM!SALMON DONBURI was a delightful bowl of Japanese style Atlantic salmon in a tamari, sake + butter pan sauce over brown rice w/peas, scrambled egg, pickled watermelon radish + scallion. The pickled watermelon was different and complemented the salmon very nicely. Would order again.PALEO PUMPKIN PANCAKE (PPP) w/butter & maple syrup. I will order pumpkin anytime it's on the menu. This PPP did not disappoint, a definite would order again. MIXED BERRY CUPCAKE. This was light and refreshing with fresh berries. This cupcake was a tiny offering of their in-house baked cakes, pies, cupcakes. SWHK is a great brunch lunch place that fills your belly with satisfying clean, organic food while putting your mind at ease with the healthy menu offerings! 5/5!P. S. Love good coffee and the coffee here blew my mind! Learned they used a local, Iconik Coffee Roasters, deep, roasted flavor with body! Tried to see if I could find some to bring home but did not alas...

The Turquoise Trail is a magical approach to Santa Fe, and we hoped to have lunch along the way. A quarter-century ago (hard to believe) we ate at the Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid, but that town and even the highway shoulder were so clotted with day-tripping old-timers (hey, we're AARP-eligible ourselves) that we were relieved to navigate through without any human-vehicle contact. (I exaggerate only slightly.). Cerrillos was a lot less crowded, but the one open restaurant we came across there was still jam-packed with more seniors. That propelled us on into Santa Fe and to the Sweetwater, which turned out great. We had to pass through this deserted light industrial area to get there, and when we arrived the restaurant revealed itself like a quenching oasis. A misplaced metaphor for sure, but another way of saying we were really hungry by that point. But seriously, we did arrive in town in a cooling rain after a couple of hot days in Albuquerque, and the light patter on the restaurant's cathedral-ceilinged roof made for an especially calming, soothing atmosphere inside. The food was quite good, too. Sweetwater's menu is more nutritious than 99.5% you come across--the restaurant's name pops up on Google with the rather archaic descriptive "health food restaurant"--and I tried to take advantage: The Grateful Green Paleo Wrap came with shredded white-meat chicken, avocado, sweet potato, sauteed kale, and a basil pesto, inside a spinach and egg "tortilla." Tasty and satisfying, although the sweet potato was dominant enough that maybe the owners want to go with "Obliged Orange" rather than "Grateful Green." Side mixed-green salad was good, too. Very pleasant spot that I'd be happy to have in our town, and the healthiest meal we'd eat for the rest of the trip.

Fabulous place! Such a nice atmosphere. Green chairs and plants offer a calming atmosphere. There is also a patio to sit outside. The menu is thoughtful and not overwhelming. I had the salmon don buri and my husband had the chili relleno. Both were fresh and delicious. For dessert we shared the banana cream pie but I noticed many other yummy dessert items going by. If I lived here, I would come at least once per week. Service was excellent. Friendly and fast. Great place!
