When I first visited the Sawmill Market this past year, I immediately was drawn to the Sweets Soda Fountain. It sort of felt like I was a child again and in the candy shop from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Over the last year, I have visited Albuquerque twice, and during those two trips, I went to the Sawmill Market three times. While I had different dishes for dinner on each of the visits, I certainly stopped by the Sweets Soda Fountain all three times. They have sodas and float where you can choose a flavor and then choose to "glow up" the soda or float by adding whipped cream, sprinkles, or cotton candy. They have 8 Sweets Originals including my favorite "The Orange Dream" made of orange juice, vanilla ice cream, orange sherbet, and soda water. They have "pour overs" which contain alcohol. They also have bubbles, and you can make any drink "boozy" by adding Prosecco and cordials. They also have a "Flight of the Unicorns" with three tastes of Prosecco topped with house-made cotton candy, which you can add macarons or bonbons if you want. I had "The Orange Dream" on two of the visits. It was tasty and reminded me of an orange dreamsicle or "creamsicle" popsicle. In addition to the drinks, they also have macarons, bonbons, gummies, cotton candy, and other kinds of pre-packed candies. I also met three different employees over the several months, who each gave me individual attention (especially as no one else was in line). One had me try a complimentary bonbon since she didn't know the difference in flavors. All answered my many questions and made recommendations of what to try. I was pleased with the service of the employees at Sweets Soda Fountain. They also took the Sawmill Market gift card. You can see the Sweets Soda Fountain menu by going to https://www.sawmillmarket.com/menus and clicking on Sweets Soda Fountain. They are open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. While I didn't actually realize there were boozy beverages until after I left, I can see how this place would be popular with kids and adults alike. What a delightful experience visiting! I look forward to going back again on a future Albuquerque trip.

The place looks adorable and I was tempted while waiting for food from the sandwich shop across. I ordered the Apple Pie float. I was expecting a float. But unfortunately what I received was a cup of crushed ice with apple koolaid / syrup and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with carmel drizzle on top. On top of crushed ice. After the first sip, the ice cream was not touching the liquid at all as the cup was filled with so much crushed ice. After a few slurps, the liquid was gone and I was left with an ice cream scoop on a mountain of ice. Who puts ice in a float? Boo.

Second time here. Very good non-alcoholic beverage options. I make it a point to come here when I'm at sawmill because I can't drink much alcohol and want something else other than coffee, tea, or Pepsi/Coke products. The staff was not as friendly and could definitely use more attention to customers so hence -1. I'd probably come again for the drinks.

I stopped here today b/c I wanted something sweet after my lunch. I was greeted by two of the most unfriendly rude human beings I've ever met (ie a girl and boy). I asked them if they had any dessert options and they just looked at me with a blank stare. They could care less of serving me or explaining what they had to offer. One would hope, I wasn't being discriminated by clearly wearing a cross necklace--as they both stared at it. I left and got a delicious mousse at mercantile instead. The best part was walking out of the market to leave seeing both of them zombie out in their cell phones. I will never give them any business. Tons of other great options in the market who are way friendly and would love to share their recommendations.
