Sweet Rice Asian Express

Simple review: everything was excellent and I can't wait for my next Thai meal here. Ask for the Thai tea sweet or less sweet. Ask for the heat and get the medium because it gets real hot, Thai hot. Sweet Rice Asian Express is run by a super sweet lady. Please be kind to her. The whole family was there on the second visit. I believe it was the husband in glasses, cute boy, and mom doing the cooking. I know, it's a food truck but it's run in ship shape fashion. Food this good won't be relegated to a truck for long. Get it while you can. Cheers!

First of all, DANG I haven't been to Sweet Rice Asian Express in Santa Fe, NM since they kind of first opened and I think I've been doing myself a disservice. I decided to try their drunken noodles with chicken and was blown away. It was a slower time of day, around 2pm, and my order came out very quickly (within 10 min) Like others have said, it was super hot and fresh, packed with vibrant fresh veggies and chicken. The highlight for me was the sauce and noodles. Really enjoyed the slightly chewy texture to the noodles. Balanced and complex flavors. It very much "hit the spot" for needing some comfort food today. Delicious, authentic, so comforting and giant portions! We had the pad se ew on special, Thai fried rice, crab rangoons, and a Thai tea! Our order came out pretty fast and super reasonable prices for such massive portions! One of our new favorites in town!

Food is incredible! Fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend stopping by between errands.

On second visit I had a friend tell me to get the iced coffee with condensed milk and it was the best coffee drink I've had all summer. I also tried the fish cake appetizer and crab rangoon with sweet Chile sauce, both were prepared perfectly. Fish cakes were like nothing I've tasted before. They had a wonderful texture of sausage patties and hints of green bean and lime leaf. I couldn't tell they were made of fish. They were Incredible, I'd highly recommend!

Scrumptious!! Pad Thai is one of my fav foods and this is one of the best I have ever had. Super friendly and fast service -- I will definitely come back and try more. Please give this place a try.

Every time I try to get pickup from Thai on Canyon I fall victim to their closed days. Sweet Rice is perfect. Great food, fast prep, fresh ingredients, nice proprietor, then on my way to enjoy it at home where I wanted to eat anyway. We had chicken pad Thai and the veggie pad see ew with potstickers all of it was fresher than at a typical restaurant. I'll have to give food trucks a lot more credit now.

A hidden gem! We just found this truly authentic Thai cuisine, made to order with fresh ingredients, by the sweetest Thai woman. We had chicken pad, Thai and shrimp pad Thai, and thankfully it was seasoned to perfection and not overly sauced. The potstickers were also delicious. Just to be clear, this is not fast food as it is handmade from scratch but well worth the wait.Hours are Monday-Friday 11-6:30 & Saturday 11-5 but they do close early if there are no customers. What a delicious lunch we had. We both had Pad Thai (shrimp), Thai iced tea, and a sweet rice dessert. The food was all cooked fresh and beautifully done, all wonderful, and the woman serving us was sweet as could be. It's great to eat food that makes you feel good afterwards. :)
