Sushi Freak

My favorite thing from Sushi Freak is there sushi nachos mmmmm so delicious!! They're kinda like chipotle for sushi as you can see all the ingredients and it really tempts you to add more! Staff are cool, they have some delicious drinks & snacks as well. Call me a sushi freak for sushi freak!!

I tend not to be in favor of a lot of national franchises, and quite frankly a store by the name of "sushi freak" would even not get a second nod from me. But my oldest daughter who is a vegetarian, suggested we go there and try their food. I was impressed with the portion size and value. Yes it is not fast food because it took a little while for them to get it all prepared but very flavorful and a good experience.I had the crab roll and chicken teriyaki dinner. I would order both of those again, but probably not in the same meal since the portions are so large.

Sushi burrito is my kind of fast food. $11.50 to build your own ($12.38 after tax), but the cost can go up if you do extra fillers, add-ins, or sauces. I kept it simple: tuna with cucumber, avocado, and ginger. The young man who served me was very patient while I made up my mind, and the place was empty but clean. Can't say the tuna had much flavor, but it looked more appealing than the spicy tuna or salmon.Meal was filling and healthier than a lot of other no-fuss alternatives, so I'd go back if needing fuel in a pinch.

So this appears to be the sushi version of subway. All food is visible in different containers behind a sneeze guard. I wanted to give this place a 3.5, but their service was deserving to go up on the scale. Great service!!! Very customer pleasing. Answered all questions I had and I felt they really wanted to do it right, didn't feel rushed or like I was bothering them. Menu relatively easy to understand. Some roll options or you can go for a larger custom roll, burrito or poke bowl. Miso soup and egg rolls were just ok. Shrimp tempura and chicken teriyaki were excellent. Most veggies were good, sauces good. Seating is mostly for singles or doubles. Not great for larger groups unless you get takeout and eat elsewhere. I was a too chicken to try the raw fish. Maybe next time..

30 minutes before closing they told us that they were closed. Rude and snotty young people working there. I mentioned the hours say until 8 but they said "we are trying to leave we have things to do". Guess they don't need peoples business

Cross contaminated sushi and poor customer experience, I've been eating at Sushi Freak in uptown for 5 years now and though to try this new spot but sadly I was disappointed with my New Mexican roll being drenched in red sauce and the Dr EEL food was disgusting. Most def not coming back. I'd rather spend a little bit more and get a more devouring sushi than this spot.

First time visiting Sushi Freak and LOVED it! I got the Fistbump burrito and it was amazing. The flavors were 10/10 and I loved the subtle crunch. Everything tasted really fresh and it was cool to watch how they made it. The staff were all very kind and offered great service. Highly recommend!

If u like shush I freak go to the one in uptown If u ask for a tab water they make you buy an exotic water for $5I won't be going here again, the second time i didn't have a good experience & the sushi is made by machine

This place is horrible. I usually go to the uptown location and always love the food and service. This place is not the same. The fish does not seem as fresh and like other reviewers said, the rolls are made by a machine. No, just no. If you want fresher food and better service and ambiance, trust me, go to the main location at uptown. I have also tried the location on the westside and that was not good at all either. Not sure what sushi freak is trying to do, but the new locations should learn from the main one.

The food is great. We eat there at least twice a week. Most important about this place is the service. We call in ahead of time. Every time they answer the phone they are so nice!!! I have not experienced the same, consistent, quality of service in a long time!! Koodos to the owner and the staff!!
