Sunnyside Up Breakfast and Lunch Cafe

I absolutely see why people love this place!It has that classic neighborhood breakfast spot feel--where you know the names of everyone who works and dines there, no matter their role. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands.I arrived closer to lunchtime, and even though it was busy, I was seated in under 15 minutes. I grabbed a booth solo, and my server, Branden, was superb! He had great recommendations, was incredibly efficient, and had a warm, inviting smile. I can see why people love sitting in his section--he's a joy!The menu? Overwhelming in the best way--I wanted everything! But since I had a plane to catch, I went on the lighter side (well, kind of). My order: Water, Dr. Pepper, a Mimosa, and a piping hot Texas Steak Skillet with green chili sauce on the side. Delicious! Eggs scrambled to perfection with cheese, tender steak, crispy potatoes, onions, and peppers... yes, ma'am!When I'm back in Albuquerque, this is a must-stop--hell, if you can handle it, come every damn day. It's that good. Enjoy!

Okay I had a quick layover here from work and I must say I like this place . I was staying at a nearby hotel and it was literally 500 ft walk and I'm so happy about that . I walk in , table for one and was told it was 30 min . Around 20 min or , my table was ready and I walk in . My server name was Marcus , he seem busy but very attentive about taking my order. I order the hibiscus mimosa and it's good omg . Then I had the omelette . I need to find the name as I forgot but it is very good (bacon avocado scramble). Took a little bit but not too much time I got my food (now I was hungry so my patience might have been short and that's on me lol ) .its Avery just place and they also have outdoor seating . Its was busy . The food was delicious . I ate everything there and I had the muffin as my toast and it was perfect and butter well . I will come back again when I visit Albuquerque for sure .

From the reviews, this was supposed to be the best breakfast place in Albuquerque. But it fell quite short of our expectations.The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to a Marriott.. so you have plenty of parking. They do not take reservations but will put you on a waitlist - so make sure you get on it. The waiters seemed rushed. Our server spilled hot coffee on my friend and then barely apologized. They missed taking one persons order too and did not compensate for the extra wait time (almost 25 mins for my friend to get her food)Now coming to the food itself - nothing great. It was off the mill breakfast food that frankly can be found anywhere so I am not sure why this is so highly rated.

So you might remember back in the day this location was an Egg and I location. But a few years back they rebranded and got rid of the franchise, but now it's basically a local version of the same thing.They have a large selection of breakfast foods, including everything you can imagine from sweet to savory. They have a good variety of coffees and alcoholic drinks.I ordered the steak skillet and sub the chile on the side for gravy. My skillet had the ranch potatoes, roasted veggies, steak and scrambled eggs. It was really good and very filling. The wait was a little on the longer side, but as you sit around, you realize a lot of people were waiting in their cars so it was more busy than it looked initially. I think we waited about 45 minutes for two people. Once we were seated, service was pretty fast and everything came out at a decent pace.

Price was decent, service was very good and the food was good. A they had some good dishes with NM chile, a little different than what we usually see. Don't get me wrong, it was very good! Unique is a great way to express their take on NM food! Service 5 stars! Food 4.75 stars, in my humble opinion! Definitely try it out!

Some restaurants are good, some are great, Sunnyside Up is excellent! The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and the staff are friendly and welcoming! And the food? It was phenomenal! I had one of their healthy omelette options and my wife had a breakfast sandwich, both were bursting with flavor, what I enjoyed personally was that each portion in my plate was very well balanced and the omelette had plenty of vegetables, bacon, cheese and all the ingredients made for a symphony of well blended and balanced flavors, this is going to be one of our frequently visited restaurants, see you all soon!

Sunny side is a cute brunch place. They were decorated like a country diner. The server is friendly and quick. My daughter and I came for quick healthy breakfast before we ran errands. I got the Tuscan scramble and my daughter got the crab Benedict. The food was cooked well and the perfect temperature. The dressed greens side was not as tasteful.

Amazing service, food and coffee! Neveah was the sweetest waitress! Top notch breakfast spot in ABQ!

Solid breakfast joint. Great coffee. Had the seasonal pumpkin pecan waffle and it was fantastic. Crispy and sweet, bacon was cooked perfectly. Service was exactly was you would want. Would highly suggest.

I couldn't even come inside! WHY you ask...Parking spots are too small (most are labeled Compact). I was driving a Chrysler Pacifica (Texan visiting Albuquerque)! I was not able to park to go in and after driving around 15 minutes, for a parking spot to clear, never happened. Plus this place shares parking with a Chili's! Was not going to wait too long... need to rethink their parking strategy. Seems like a cool little spot, and the food seems to be delish however, I cannot speak with accuracy on that because I was not able to park.
