Oh my!! This place was delicious!!! The taco meat on the Korean pork tacos was very flavorful The sauce is different original and fantastic. I highly recommend it. The carne asada fries are fresh cut fries bathed in Chile con queso and their special sauce topped with carne asada, lettuce, tomatoes, and of course queso fresco. It is a large portion so bring your appetite or share with your partner. This is our first time here and I was very impressed and can't wait to go back to taste more of their delicious food.

The El Vado plaza chowdown paseo just keeps delivering on the flavor front.Today's hit was a stagger to the left one door upon exiting Heavenly Taste Cakery and landing in the premises of Street Food Sensations, which is right next door to the sweetery shop. Seems this Sensational eatery used to be a bus but lost it's wheels and is now permanently parked in the #2 spot just off Central Ave on the sunny El Vado open air patio/plaza.Bein' a fool for a Cubano sandwich, I succumbed to the moral obligation to order these friendly folks' Spicy Cubano version with parmesan & truffle chips on the side. When I got home & opened the to-go box I was duly impressed at the generous size of the sandwich. The handful of homemade lookin' chips was adequate at filling its corner of the container. From the first bite, the spicy aspect was not inside the sandwich. While well flavored, the Scoville scale on that sammie was on the low end of heat, particularly for the Burqueño crowd. However, the large'ish pepperoncini spiked to the top of the sandwich was the nuclear blast bringin' a little scorched earth policy to the party. We're talking nasal clearing, eye watering, tongue shrivelling, throat chokin' thermal overload. It was so good!!The flat bread on the sammie was chewy & sturdy enough to corral the layers of beef, ham, cheese, and pickles without degradation or deteriorating. The red chile mayo was super sparse, to the point of almost non-existent, and left me wanting for more to jack up the heat a bit. The beef was okay to good, being subtly spiced which let the umami taste shine through. Ham was of the water added variety so offered decent texture & moistness to the filling. But the smoke note in the mix was a soft one, not intense with the acrid attack often found in dry cure hams. Pickles were okay to good. Cheese was likewise okay to good, though not as spicy as I would hope for from a pepper jack cheese. The parmesan & truffle fries were of the sturdy sort. The good news being that they were surprisingly non-greasy in spite of being mottled in a pinto pony pattern of oil saturated patches across their surfaces. My fingers remained delightfully free of napkin dabbing while devouring the chips. The bad news being that they tasted like pretty much standard home made potato chips found everywhere. I didn't pick up the parmesan funkiness or pungency on them at all. So the chips were sort of a 3 star affair & just okay being crunchy, fried, salty enough without overdoing it, and not greasy. With the Cubano & chips being about a 3.5 star situation, it's the friendly cashier lady & cook who make Street Food Sensations a solid 4 star affair. I found them to be friendly and welcoming and fun. So kudos to the staff for being a bright addition to the sunny atmosphere of the El Vado eating scene.

The outset of this review needs to mention -- as my homegirl Allison noted -- that this eatery is the newest creation from the mad scientists over at CNM's culinary arts program, Albuquerque's main Community College. Like Frankenstein himself, this eatery kicks out massive portions that will cure a case of the hangry and from my limited experience, it's a great addition to the flavors of El Vado.Offering five varieties of street tacos (including Korean and Hawaiian approaches), three sammies (that Cubano looks epic), sides and "sharables" we began by sharing a plate of cilantro-parmesan truffle fries -- just what the doctor ordered, hot, greasy, cheesy -- and then I refused to share my plate of BBQ chipotle nachos. The layers, man, the layers! Slaw and sauce and jalapeño and queso with itty bitty chile shards and chunk after chunk of pulled pork that did not PLAY. Wow, my hands were such a mess, and my recently-grown beard tasted delicious hours later.

Street Food Sensations at El Vado, can't go wrong ordering anything from the menu, everything is pretty delicious! We shared the generous serving of bbq nachos, delicious! Great outdoor patio with live music on Fridays. Several restaurants to choose from here and don't forget to order your very cold beer from El Vado tap room! Parking can be a little bit of a hassle, small parking area but you can park in neighborhood near by, worth the effort!

Stopped in to take some photos along Route 66. This is located in the plaza of historic El Vado Hotel. Small little walk in place . I wanted to try more however we had to hit the road. I got the beer marinated chicken fajita tacos . 3 tacos for just 9 bucks. Possibly the best deal in Albuquerque . You will love the food here

Always a great choice when visiting El Vado. This place gives generous portions and offers tasty, quality food. The bbq nachos our my husbands personal favorite, the jalapeños are nice and spicy and balanced with the sweet bbq sauce. Generous amounts of pork, cheese and bbq sauce. Definitely a dish to share! The pork tacos are my favorite. Just the perfect blend or pork, 'slaw, cheese and lime.

We are frequently visiting El Vado for dinner because of the great atmosphere. This time we had "Street Food Sensations" and it was amazing. We grabbed a few beers from the taproom and enjoyed some great outdoor dining. I had the Cubano Sandwich with Parmesan truffle fries and my wife had Korean tacos! We will definitely be back! 5 stars!!

Wish I could review their food but at 615 on a Sunday evening they turned the sign to closed. Left with 1 food option in the whole complex. Ridiculous

Are you looking to fulfill your search for the best fries ever? Look no further. I've sampled three types of their fries--cilantro and truffle oil, garlic and Parmesan, and the nacho version with cheesy saucy and carne asada. All are sooo addictive and delicious. The nacho version obviously get a little soggier with all the toppings so if you want super crispy, stick with the other two. They did not disappoint our entire family--our 4-yr old loved them, our friend's 15-yr olds loved them, and all the adults did too. Get over to El Vado and you'll find Street Food Sensations near Central Ave.
