I miss this place. We raised our kids in Stone Age 1 and then enjoyed this gym for a while. It's the best gym I have ever been in. Love it!

Our last stop on a 10 day climbing trip all over Texas, Az and Nm and this one was top three for sure. About 55ft lead walls with great overhang and slab routes! Loved everything I climbed today and staff was super nice and very climbercore! Clean and welcoming facility and I liked the training/workout areas too

One of the best indoor gyms I have been to! This gym is state of the art. Giant walls with an aggressive overhang for lead climbing up to 5.14a in difficulty. Alex checked us in and took. Are of us. He got us certified for lead and was very informative and professional. Made us feel right at home. They have an awesome boulder wall with up to v10 in difficulty. They did have a kilter wall and and a tension board to train! Last but not least their weight gym had everything we needed to train during our trip

This is the only place in town that offers indoor rock climbing. The new renovation was a great improvement. The only downside is needing to become belayed certified to actually use their big room, but I can see why it should be a safety precaution. If you are not, you can always use the auto belay and the bouldering rooms, those get pretty tall also. They frequently change their climbs and puzzles-- it's actually pretty cool and you will never be bored! The workers are pretty awesome and knowledgeable. There's this guy (most likely the owner) that oversees the biggest belaying room. He seems super chill, the employees even call him dinosaur. The atmosphere is super relaxing but also supportive. If you also get the membership, you save on your admission and you get discount on gear and food!

Best climbing gym I've been to, large tall walls and the bouldering area is super fun. There is also a gym area for hanging work and a full gym upstairs. Super friendly staff, lots of gear you can buy, and there are snacks too. Highly recommend visiting this gym to climb, the routes are harder than normal ratings!

Great place for beginners and people of all skill levels. This was my first time climbing, but the auto belay system made me feel so safe and comfortable. The staff is really great too. This place is perfect for doing something active indoors away from the heat.

While on vacation in Albuquerque, Stone Age has been the ideal spot for us to take our kids (and their cousins) to let off some steam on a cold winters day. Though we had not been here in a while, all we had to do was sign some paperwork and perform a 5-minute demo of our knot-tying and belaying skills before they let us loose inside. This is yet another Albuquerque business that has moved to bigger digs; the new space is much more spacious than the old one. In fact, I think it may be the biggest indoor climbing gym I've ever been to! As before, they still have:-- Auto belayers on selected routes: allows you to climb without a human belayer. Sort of like a vacuum cleaner cord when you push the button - it pulls in slack but not powerfully; When you're done climbing, just push off and it lowers you to the ground quickly but gently. I wish they had these at Planet Granite in CA!-- "The boulder" offers a variety of short routes in varying difficulties, from expert to beginner, with a "top" area for sitting or standing. Short enough to not require ropes, and there's plenty of padding underneath. It is ideal for kids, who get to chill out on top as a reward for their efforts. Better than a babysitter, especially when the parents get to climb a little too.So happy to see this business thriving and expanding. Now only if they'd open a branch in the Bay Area!

I really love this place! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They take their time with newbies to explain basic safety and more advanced techniques. The custom signs are hysterical, i.e.- Clothing left in lockers overnight will be given to dirtbags. - Thanks, the dirtbags. Funny little signs all over the place that actually give helpful info! The other climbers are also so awesome! Everyone I have met and talked to has been super kind and supportive! It is an excellent vibe. I always leave this place floating on a cloud of bliss! Yes, with sore muscles, but in a good way!
