If you are a small business owner and have been in business for 40 years and own commercial real estate forget about getting a home mortgage anywhere. All of your assets will be counted as liabilities against you. The only way to get a home mortgage in this situation is to have the bank hold the loan in house. But Spence doesn't have the BALLS to call and tell us that they won't or doesn't' want to do that. I hope this bank COLLAPSES along with all of the other banks. They strung us along and we weren't able to get a home mortgage because we own too many commercial properties. Any one of them would cover the amount of the loan that we needed to purchase a home. But since they counted ALL of them as liabilities we will never be able to own a home. These home mortgages are sold to Fannie Mae and NONE of the banks want to keep the loan in house even credit unions. On the hand if you are a first time buyer without any assets and you haven't had your job for very long the banks will give you a home mortgage. This is my step-daughters situation. She and her husband hadn't lived in Houston for more than a year and they got a home mortgage. Now her husband lost his job! The banking system is nothing more than a ponzi scheme. Let's hope they all FAIL. Andrew Jackson was right, they are a bunch of snakes and he drove them out of the den. The banking system is an enslavement, we don't need money. Money doesn't make anything, people make things. For the people to regain our power we need to eliminate the banks. In the meantime use a credit union and stay away from People's Bank and all of the other national banks.
