Came in on a Thursday night for carne asada. Was not overly impressed. Turns out to be strips of beef laid on top of tortillas, as if they were meant for tacos. And although they refer to their beef as only the best quality, it really didn't taste that great. Almost had a liver taste to it. On the plus side, it did come with a side of hot sauce that killed the flavor of the meat and made it a bit better. Daughter got a chicken quesadilla, which was huge and packed full with cheese and meat. We had two margaritas, that were okay, but not great. The house made chips were excellent, salsa was just so-so. Also tried the signature sopaipilla. Now that was interesting and good, especially with their honey butter. Our server was friendly and reasonably fast. Could have had a second margarita, but never got the chance. The ambiance looks like this place used to be a Denny's. They do have some nice decorations inside that make it homey.

Friends were craving Sopiaipilla and we thought this was an actual factory, but it was a restaurant. The staff was friendly. We were able to enjoy some desserts for the kids. Their favorite was the sopaipilla with the cinnamon sugar.

Food here is pretty good but for me, it's all about their desserts and the Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary is nice and spicy. Fried rice cream and ice cream stuffed Sopapilla are amazing. Good place to stop on your way between Española and Santa Fe.

Would you drive 30 miles round trip just for stuffed sopaipilla?Place is listed as in Santa Fe , but is actually 15 miles out of in Pojoaque , in the boon docks, halfway to Los Alamos. In a shopping center, with plenty of parking, lots of windows, clean and open ambiance restaurant. Meeting a friend of my wife when she worked in Los Alamos 18 years. We each ordered the $13.75 stuffed sopaipilla, while friend ordered beef enchilada. Service is on the leisurely side. The stuffed sopaipilla was filled with chicken, rice and vegetables. Looked like a square enchilada 5" square. Combination went well together, especially when adding green chile to give it more spice. Ate it with a knife and fork as the sopaipilla was covered with a layer of melted cheese, and chile sauce.Dish came with a very small salad and cornbread. Friend's $13.75 enchilada dish came with two beef enchiladas, Mexican rice small salad of tomatoes, and pinto beans. Wife and I ate everything on our plates, but friend, lifetime New Mexico resident, still hasn't gotten used to pinto beans, leaving most of it. Dessert was fluffy sopaipilla with butter and honey. Loved the dough but not what it did for my waistline.

I ordered stuffed sopapillas with beef and red and green chile and combo with chile relleno and enchilada with red sauce. Food was solid! Also enjoyed a side of sopapillas with honey butter. They were delicious, fluffy and light! It's more of a casual establishment, but I would definitely come here if I'm in the area in the future.

Sopaipillas come with every entree. Puffy and soft and just a little bit salty. Delicious with some honey on top.The big combo plate was full of winners. Comes with a Chile Relleno (spicy, gooey and crispy all at once), a tamale (exceptional flavor and texture with a good heat), and a cheese enchilada (delicious blend of cheese and Chile). The pinto beans on the side were full of flavor. The rice was soft and moist. The Pueblo Taco was a delicious balance of flavor and textures. The chips and salsa were pretty good. The salsa was not spicy, but had large chunks of tomato and onion.Decor is family friendly and casual. Service was a bit rough when we went but they were short staffed so I won't hold it against them.

The service was slow. The salsa was not hot at all and not much flavor.( it tasted like store bought salsa from a jar). I overheard a customer also complain about the food. The green chile was good.

The fluffy, crispy sopaipilla did not disappoint. Plain, with butter, honey, sugar, or cinnamon... All are warm & uplifting!!

We had awful service. The server disappeared for a long time and took forever to refill our waters. The food was BLAND. The meat and beans had no flavor whatsoever. The sopapillas were not great either. The server never checked on us or brought us the check. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is the one lady who bussed the tables. She noticed we were sitting waiting for our server so she brought us the check so we could pay and leave.
